A short one shot with Onesided!TsuRop and Izaroppi at the base. Please enjoy.

"My name is Tsukishima."

For a while, Roppi had never expected to meet someone that was strikingly similiar as him. And yet, not. Tsukishima was the double, complete opposite of Shizuo Heiwajima and for awhile, Roppi was happy.

He felt at peace with a man who understood how he felt. For each moment they spent together, the more Roppi realized that Tsukishima was not what he wanted. But, exactly as he wanted it.

When he laid beside Izaya one night, his fingers threaded through the others dark locks as he pressed a kiss onto the others mouth. He had Tsukishima in his head, swirling thoughts about it all. Izaya had Shizuo, Izaya didn't need him- even though he wanted the informant badly. Even if every moment they parted from eachother.

Roppi pulled away, but he pressed closer. If Izaya could notice the distance the younger had between them, he didn't note it. Nor did he seem to mind when all Roppi wanted was to bury his face in the others chest and rest.

"Tsuki, do you like me?"

"Y-yea. I really l-like you, Roppi-san."

"Ha…"

Izaya was working, Roppi's back to the elders legs. His hands were gripping a book, hard as he stared at the words but didn't read.

"Hey, Izaya-kun?"

"Yes Hachin?"

"...What would you do if I left you?"

The typing stopped. Izaya peered over the other, a small grin taking place on his face.

"Now, now. Are you feeling insignificant again?"

"..." He gripped the book tighter. "No.. just curious…"

Why did he feel so empty?

"R-roppi-san! I love you!"

"H-hah?"

"I love you, Roppi-san."

"...U-uh…"

"It's okay if you don't love me back. I'm happy being with you. I love you."

"..."

"Thinking again?" Izaya's voice carried through the air, breaking Roppi's train of thought as he stared at the tv. Despite the gore that seem to flash through from the horror movie he watched, Roppi wasn't paying attention.

"Mm? Yeah."

"A penny for your thoughts, then?"

"..I love you."

"Ah? What's with the sudden confession?"

"Just wanted to let you know…"

"Please don't hurt yourself, Roppi-san!"

"I-"

"Why do you stay with someone who breaks you heart?"

"He doesn't."

"You're hurting yourself."

"That's not on him,"

"Roppi-san!"

"I promise. Orihara-san is never the reason why I do this."

"Please stop."

"..Mm.."

"I need you, Roppi-san! Please don't! What if you die?"

"I-"

The pain from the blade was nothing compared to how he felt about Izaya.

He just felt empty.

That's why.

Izaya had to know how he felt. The man knew him enough to figure out his emotional turmoil. Izaya knew everything. He had too.

Roppi was at a lost.

When he cried that night, he stayed home. Away.

He stayed home for a week.

"Are you okay?"

"yeah Tsuki."

"Are you sure? You're not eating anymore…"

"Haven't been hungry."

"Are you still seeing Orihara-san?"

"...we were never dating."

"You lie to yourself, Roppi-san..it hurts."

"Hm.."

Izaya didn't react when Roppi 'broke' in that night. Nor when Roppi pulled the plug from his computers. The informant sighed and leaned back in his chair, using his leg to move the chair back and forth.

"You were gone for awhile. I thought you finally killed yourself."

"Would you have cared?"

"You think too much, you know that don't you? It only makes you upset. Come here." He moved because Izaya was staring at him, not because he wanted too. Roppi found himself settling over the informants lap like he use to constantly.

He missed it. Why did he miss it?

"You should know me by now, Hachin."

"No.."

"No?"

"Don't know you good enough yet.."

"Mm." Izaya leaned back, hands on his doubles waist before eyes slid shut. "Honestly. You're so much trouble."

"...Izaya-kun…"

"You want to forget?"

That's all he needed to hear before Roppi leaned forward and pressed his lips eagerly against the others mouth. He wanted to forget. That's all.

"Roppi-san?"

"Hey, Tsuki."

"You seem happier..did you talk with Orihara-san?"

"No."

"Then..?"

"Izaya-san made me forget."

"You can't just forget, Roppi-san!"

"I know."

"Then why do you keep hurting yourself?"

"I'm not."

"Roppi-san…"

"Tsuki, if it doesn't work out.."

"Hm?"

"If I die.."

"Roppi-san!"

"I want you to know, I love you too."

"H-hah?!"

"I love you. But Izaya-san is someone who is very special to me.."

"...It's okay. I'll be here if you need me…"

"Thank you."

"Are you going to..?"

"Imma try.."

"Roppi-san!"

"..You're so cute when you cry, Tsuki-kun…"

That night, Roppi laid beside the informant. There was silence.

And then-

"Izaya-kun?"

"Mm?"

"...I'll ask again. What would you do, if I left you?"

Izaya sighs.

"Seriously.. You should know I would never really let you go. You're just looking for attention, aren't you?"

Roppi didn't respond. Izaya tugged the raven closer.

"You always want my attention. You can look for attention at anyone else, Hachin. But you always want mine. Because I'm the only one who can really give you what you want. You don't just want cute affection, you want more. I know you, Hachin and you can play it off like I don't. But I do, and you hate that."

"..."

"It's alright, Roppi. I'll let you have it this once." As Roppi found himself tearing up and crying, he mumbled a soft thank you.

That's all he really needed.

"Roppi-san?"

"I'm happy."

"Are you really?"

"Yeah."

"Okay."

"Thank you, Tsuki-kun."

"Ah hah.."

"I love you~"

"I love you too, Roppi-san."

"Now go buy me some ice cream."

"Alright."

The end.
