Five years ago Elena Flemming met Elijah Smith. Now Elena Gilbert works with Elijah Mikaelson as secret agents for the USA. Elena hates Elijah, and can never forgive him for what he did. But they have been stuck as partner until one of the dies...or retires. The pair haves to put their personal lives on hold in order to go on a mission together as a happy married couple. Their lives are in danger when the enemies figure out they are undercover agents. The pair grow close on the mission, but will they end up dying because of it.
"Morning Flemming." Elijah Mikaelson teased his partner as he entered their office and sat down at his metal desk while had been covered with files, framed photos, his laptop and now torn red roses.
"Go to hell." Elena Gilbert while she was untying her brown curled locks that she previously had in a tight pony tail. She had a wide smirk on her face since she had came in this morning to see Elijah's desk. The twenty five year old woman wore a white button down blouse with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. The black pencil skirt that teased her knees shaped out her curves. Black heels she wore made her tanned legs look longer. An average man would think she was a model but Elijah knew she was much more dangerous than a model.
Elijah wore his signature suit but this one was a dark gray almost black with a navy blue button down shirt. His dark eyes darkened with lust when he saw what Elena wore that day. She had the same effect on him since the day he had met her. He noticed her bend over to grab her purse and his eyes widen before turning his head away.
Picking up his cellphone he called the janitor to come clean up the mess on his desk. "We're you here when she did this?" Elijah questioned his partner after he hung up the phone.
"Nope I came in late, I had to change and get a new coffee. Let me guess had a little lover spat?" Elena said with a confident look covering her whole face and body. Around one another they weren't themselves. Elena was usually a warm kind person and Elijah was a noble man. But to one another they were cold and snarky to one another; always trying to get on the other one's nerves.
"Sort of. She found a photo from four years ago today." He told Elena being serious as she turned her playlist on her laptop before she began to work.
"I told you to burn all of those, I knew Bailey would react." Elena chantley said as she typed on her computer.
"Hayley." Elijah said through a clenched jaw. He was about to sit down when their boss Mikael walked in.
"Gilbert, Mikaelson." Mikael spoke with his arms crossed over his built chest. "I have a job for you." The pair looked at one another before nodding their heads at the boss.

Stained red lips, dark curls hiding her face, brown met dark hazel eyes. His hand moving along her exposed thigh through the slit of her black dress. A laugh in the air and touching her hand against his arm. A couple in love passed the faking couple but couldn't tell the difference. His lips were close to her ear like he was whispering sweet nothings.
"Must you be touching me so much?" She lowly sneered in his ear.
"Yes unless you want to be obvious Flemming." He smirkily whispered in her ear. When she was about to jerk her head back, his free hand grabbed the back of her neck and caressed it. "Just imagine you are with your lover."
"He wouldn't touch me that much." Elena snapped in his ear and moved her lips against his ear. "He would wait until we were alone."
"Fine then pretend it is five years ago, we are in that small restaurant drinking some red wine, all alone." He whispered in her ear trying to bring back old feelings. "My gun next to yours on the table, my hand grazing the back of your knee."
"My foot is inches from your groin, shut the hell up Mikaelson." Elena growled and pulled back from him to take a sip of her ginger ale. "You never did tell me what happened fully with Hayley."
"She found the photo, we got in a fight, we broke up. Simple as that. Never told me why you had to change your clothes." He said wanting to change the topic.
"Coffee accident. Simple as that." She mocked his calm tone as she turned her head to see the target going into the men's room. "Your play."
"You think the deal is in there?"
"No but we could catch him early so we can get out of here early." Elena stood up as she grabbed Elijah's hand." I got your back."
Elijah disappeared into the bathroom to go catch the target while Elena waited by his only exist. Shane came flying out of the bathroom pushing past Elijah, but not passed Elena. Her heel toes meet his flabby pale stomach almost hard enough to burst his stomach. When that kick didn't bring him to his knees the one to his rib cage did. Elijah held him back while Elena's hands searched Shane's body pulling out a file. Elena nodded her head and Elijah dragged Shane out to the alley way. There Elijah force Shane to his feet.
"Who is buying this from you?!" Elena snapped at Shane.
"Bitch!" He yelled and tried to lunge at her but Elijah kept him held back.
"Answer our question Atticus." Elijah said as applied pressure to Shane's broken ribs.
"A woman." Shane cried out. "She works for Silas." That was all he gave them before he passed out from shock. The backup team waiting for the partners took Shane. Elena sighed and opened the folder
"What is in it?" Elijah asked her as he was trying to wipe Shane's blood off of the sleeve of his white shirt.
"Information on everything about where Markos and Nadia are." Elena told Elijah as she looked through the papers. "And a new passport for one Amara Petrova, Nadia's sister and one of Silas's girl." She showed him the file.
"Amara or Tessa was probably going to come get this file. I'll let Mikael know." Elijah said as he took out his phone and took the file from him. Elena was about to go bother Caroline for a ride but Elijah stopped her "I'll drive you back, Caroline needs to get home to her family." Elena rolled her eyes but didn't go over to Caroline. She knew he was right about Caroline getting home.
After Elijah left the message for Mikael the two walked to his black Cadillac CT6. Like the noble man he is he opened the door for her and she got in. He drove the two of them to her house while she was tying her up and removing the heavy make-up she wore. He looked over at her and smiled. He always thought she looked better in her natural look than the one she wore. He let out a chuckle when he saw removing her heels to put on the black Converses she had in her purse.
"We both know I only wear heels for work." Elena said with a laugh in her voice while he was pulling up to the gate surrounding her house. Elijah typed the passcode that he thought he knew into the keypad but soon realized it was not the password.
"You changed it again?" Elijah questioned Elena.
"I fired a gardener and he knew the passcode. I was worried." Elena reached over and climbed over in Elijah's to type the new passcode. When the gates opened, Elena sat back in her seat and Elijah drove up the driveway. Elijah knew Elena was always concerned about safety so she would change her passcode or get new security detail because she didn't true any one.
"Trevor bring any new person in?" Elijah checked.
"Nope still just Trevor, Conner, Vaughn and Luca." Elena looked out her window checking out the beautiful property of her home that she had gotten in her divorce when she didn't even want it.
The house was large enough for thirteen people to have their own room. There was a small guest house in back where the security guards lived. In the main house there was a ballroom, a living room, dining room, fifteen bathrooms, a large kitchen, two studies, a basement, a library and lastly a studio for Elena that her ex made for her when he discovered her love for drawing and painting. Her maid and one of her best friends Rose lived in the main house with her along with Elena's brother Jeremy and his wife Bonnie when they weren't traveling like they were at that time.

Elena was the first one in the house after Elijah pulled up to near the garage. She knew he was coming inside of the house because he had done it so many times. She walked through the house and dropped her heels by the coat closet. Walking down the hallway she saw Rose cleaning up some dishes in the sink.
"You are home early. Everything ok?" Rose asked her boss her British accent while she continued to wash dishes.
"Yeah, we just caught him early. Elijah is here." Elena tried not to laugh when she saw the sour look on Rose's face to go along with her widening eyes. Elena shook her head as she looked through the mail. "Where is Lexi?"
"Upstairs." Rose quickly replied. "Why is he here?"
"I am here because I gave Elena a ride home after our mission because I wanted to make sure she was safe. Where is she?" Elijah asked both Rose and Elena when he entered the kitchen. His eyes dangerously dark with worry in them.
"Mommy!" The three year old girl shouted as she ran at Elena. "Daddy here too."
"There is my little princess." Elijah picked up Ava from the ground. The three year old wore her blue Olaf onesie pajamas with her brown hair still wet from her bath.
"Sweetie where is Lexi?" Elena asked her daughter as she pressed a kiss to Ava's small red cheek.
"I'm right here. The moment she heard you guys come in she started to freak out and she ran off before I could get her in bed." Lexi apologized as she was walking into the kitchen as well. Lexi was not only Elena's best friend but Ava's nanny.
"Why isn't she asleep it is nearly nine." Elijah growled at Lexi.
"She never goes to bed until Elena is home and she knows her mommy is asleep." Lexi took Ava from Elijah's arms and looked at Elena "Say goodnight to your mommy and daddy."
"Night mommy night daddy." Ava got out as she was yawning before Lexi carried her back to Ava's room.
"You can go now." Elena rolled her eyes at Elijah the ex husband.
"Got it I'll see you in the morning Flemming." Elijah barely escaped the room when Elena grabbed one of her heels and threw it at him. The pumps now hung stuck to wall as if Elena threw a knife at her ex husband.
So there is the first chapter to my Elejah story. I wanted to do something different with this story. Elejah will be endgame and there will be other couplings with the other characters. I am going to update Coming Home and I'll be coming out with just a Klena story and Delena story soon as well. I don't own anything but the plot line. Review let me know what you think.
