Harry Potter was examining his thoughts towards Bill and Fluer's wedding. It was less than a week away and his dress robes he wore to the Yule Ball, during his fourth year at Hogwarts, were too small. He decided he'd better get up; it was nearly noon. But to his misfortune, he barley had time to get dressed into a t-shirt and jeans before he was called from his room.
"Harry! You, bloody boy, get down here!!!" Uncle Vernon yelled up the stairs. Harry, no matter how much he wanted to ignore him, went down stairs.
"What?" he spat coldly.
"Oh my… you have got to get dressed in proper clothes!" whispered Aunt Petunia.
"Why? What is going on?" he addressed this to his aunt, who looked away grimly.
"Friends of mine, well you know them, the ones you dropped cake on five years ago, will be here shortly—"
"I was planning on going out." Harry announced, interrupting his uncle.
"What?" Uncle Vernon roared. "Where would you go?"
"Well you know when I'm leaving for good next week? Well I'm leaving for a wedding, and I need new dress robes so I ill be going out and buying some. OK?" Harry indulged, his anger rising. His birthday was tomorrow and at the age of 17 he would be of age to use magic.
"I will not have you running around our world looking for something proper to wear to a wedding."
"Well that won't really be up to you, will it? I mean I'll be 17 tomorrow and at the age of 17 you can produce magic out of school." Harry said coldly. Harry was actually quite proud for doing this.
"Well, fine than… But how will you be managing your transportation to get you there?" Uncle Vernon was now purple in the face.
This troubled Harry; for he still couldn't apparate until tomorrow. He couldn't use floo powder and Stan was still being questioned which meant the Knight Bus probably was being used, though he could try.
As Harry was still thinking about this when Pig swooped in.
"I will not have those bloody owls in my HOUSE!!!!!!" Harry's uncle shouted, but Harry was already tearing it open.
Harry,
Can you believe the wedding is less than a week away? I've gone to Diagon Alley to get you a birthday gift. You'll get it tomorrow after your apparition test. Hermione and I wish we were with you but sense your uncle sort of ran us out…. Well, Ginny has not stopped talking about you and says that she is smarter than to let You-Know-Who get a hold of her. She really misses you…. Oh and guess what? After many persuasions Lupin asked Tonks to marry him!! Of course you can imagine what she said….
Well, see you tomorrow!!! Good luck!!!
Ron Weasley
