An Elite Poem
We traveled long
We traveled far.
From the depths of space
A far off star.
For our Gods and Prophets
We gave our lives.
But then betrayal
Cut us like knives.
Humanities hope
Yeah that's what's new.
For the Arbiter and Master Chief
They know what's true.
Halo a great weapon
It may be.
But not its flame
That set us free.
For long we chose
To walk the wrong path.
But now comes
Truth's day of wrath.
We will fight hard
And we may die.
But it was Truth
Who chose to lie.
In the end Truth's Covenant
Will know defeat.
For we are
The mighty Elite.
