/new bleach fan fic as a get well for my friend/
Rukia Kuchiki lay in bed, sick as a dog, covered by her many blankets. She had gotten the flu somehow, probably at that late night football game she had gone to with Grimmjow and Ichigo. That night had gotten pretty cold and the man next to her sounded like he was hacking up a cat the entire time.
It wasn't that she didn't have fun, just that she didn't really understand football. She only went because the teen boys had persuaded her. Now she regretted that decision fully. If she had just stayed home and snuggled up in her sheets on the couch and maybe gotten a bowl of popcorn to eat while playing a movie she wouldn't be so under the weather.
She groaned softly and rolled over, cold despite her mound of covers. She shivered and rubbed her hand together then she picked her phone up and dialed a number. The cell rang a few times and then a voice. "Yo, Grimmjow speaking," it said and Rukia started ranting, "Get your butt over here! Right now, and get Ichigo's too. Thanks to you two numbskulls I'm sick in bed!" She growled then coughed.
"That ain't my fault, but whatever. On my way." Grimm replied and then the call ended and Rukia got up, taking her blankets down the steps and to the couch where she laid down so she could easily get the door when the bell rang, announcing the arrival of the cat and berry. She grabbed the remote, flipping on the TV.
About ten minutes later the doorbell rang and Rukia got up, her now stiff spine cracking a few times as she walked to the door. She had been watching Tom and Jerry but she got bored of it and turned the TV off. Grimmjow and Ichigo stood at the door. Ichigo held a basket with some chocolate eggs inside and Grimmjow held a pink, stuffed rabbit.
She went for that immediately, having lost her appetite she ignored Ichigo and took the pink bunny, hugging it. She didn't notice both boys staring at her. She had no idea how awful she looked. Her skin was pale and her eyes dark with bags under them. Her hair was a tangled mess and it stuck out in all directions. She wore only her pink, chappy pajamas.
