Author's Note: I can't get this short AU scene out of my head so I feel much better now. Haha. I'm not really good at writing since I stopped for a long time and I'm not really confident with my vocabulary that's why it's like this. English isn't my first language so I hope this is okay! I must say that this is my very first SS short fic. I'm posting this for fun :)
Sasuke, grabbing Sakura along escaped the Uchiha mansion heading to a theme park and are now both alone inside the ferris wheel. While their families are waiting for them to be back to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
"Hey Sasuke, are you sure about this? Our parents and guests are waiting for us back home. They're probably worried and looking for us by now." Sakura said, facing him.
"Hn, I can't stand being in the crowd. Why do our parents have to do this?" he replied, before crossing his arms.
"They are being supportive, that's all. It's our 1st anniversary after all."
"I know. I just can't stand their ideas sometimes, especially Mom."
She giggled, making Sasuke look at her sternly.
"What's so funny?"
"Hehe, nothing. It's just how I imagined that you would say that."
"Hn."
"Is this why you brought me here? Why the theme park?" she asked.
Sasuke felt silent for a second, like giving it a thought and then responded "You like watching scenery from high places right? The best view here is riding the ferris wheel."
"Y-you remembered?" A slight pinkish-red started to form on her cheeks.
"Ah. Look."
Tilting his head towards the window, Sakura turned her head toward the direction and caught her breath as she saw the scene before her. In silence, they both watched the beautiful scenery when the ferris wheel reached it's peak. They can see clearly the sky as the sun descend beneath the clouds. It's rays stretched out giving amazing color effects to the sky. A few more minutes passed and Sasuke finally decided to break off the silence.
"I prefer it like this. Simple and quiet."
"Huh?" she said, turning her attention back to him.
"Don't deny, you prefer this too. Otherwise, you would have refused to come with me."
The slight blush on her cheeks earlier started to gain more color, looking more obvious. "Eh? But I-"
"You what?" he said, raising an eyebrow.
"Y-you were too sudden! And I didn't have much time think! You just grabbed me and ran off!"
"Exactly."
She looked away, giving off a sigh.
"Aren't you happy?" he asked curiously.
Her head immediately turned back at him, "Of course I am! I.. I just never thought you would do something like this."
"Hn, me neither."
Sakura scooted closer and took his hand and squeezed them, he squeezed back with reflex then intertwines them. Then she gave him a bright smile that she had never shown to anyone before.
"Thank you, Sasuke-kun. Really, being with you is enough to make me happy. Happy Anniversary."
"Ah. Me too, happy anniversary, Sakura."
With a warm smile, he squeezed her hand as he leaned in closer, slowly closing the gap between them until their lips touched like it's their first time. Both closed their eyes, forgetting what's around them for awhile as they savor the moment.
It was then that they both reminisced back to that same day when they exchanged their vows.
