Paula knew exactly what Ziva was doing. She knew that Ziva was sacrificing herself to be the centre of Paula's dartboard. Ziva wanted Paula to take her anger out on her instead of drowning in the sea of grief. It was meant to keep Paula focused on the case. Ziva wanted Paula to focus all her anger on her. Paula was supposed to hate Ziva not herself.
Paula couldn't help but wonder how many times the Israeli had stood in her position. How many times she had almost drowned in grief.
One thing was for certain Paula still hated her.
