"Ron, where did you put the keys?"
"Aren't they on the side table?"
"No!"
"Well what do you need the keys for, anyway?"
"To drive the car, maybe?"
"Oh ha ha. I meant why?"
"Because I have someplace I need to be? Honestly, Ron, can you just tell me where the keys are?"
"I did! They're on the side table!"
"Ron, I'm staring at the side table and there are no keys here."
"Then I don't know where they are."
"Well that's just fantastic."
"Can't you Apparate? Why do you need the car?"
"Think back to the last time you had the keys, where could you have left them?"
"Oh, way to avoid the question, Hermione."
"I'm not avoiding the question! I just want to know where the car keys are."
"Then tell me why you need the car and maybe I'll help you find the keys!"
"I have errands to run!"
"What errands do you absolutely need the car for, then? You can Apparate to the store, hell, you could walk there!"
"Do you really want to know, Ron?"
"Yes! I really want to know!"
"Because I was going to drive down to the only magical auto shop in the area so that they could install a steering system on the car. That way, even you wouldn't get lost because it quite literally steers the car for you. But since you clearly don't want me to find the keys, I'll have to reschedule the appointment I made!"
"Oh."
"'Oh' is right."
"Hermione, I'm so sorry, I didn't even think –"
"That much is obvious."
"I think I might have left the keys next to the bed. I'll go check now."
"Thank you, Ron."
"I really am sorry, love."
"It's fine, dear. Just go get the keys, and we can make up properly when I get back."
