The bus ride was long, was all Jerome was thinking as he starred out the window. He couldn't really decided if that was good or not. The quicker they got there, the sooner meeting Mr. Darth Vader would be over. But on the other hand, the slower it went, the more he could put it off seeing Vader.

He glanced at Mara, who was, of course studying. He smiled briefly, then fiddled with his tie, turning to continue looking out the window.

Mara's brow was furrowed as she read her history textbooks, cramming it all in her brain. American History seemed so radically different then British History, she thought. Taking the land, fighting with their King, then the whole president thing, the last being the only one that sparked Mara's approval.

Her thoughts drifted to Jerome. She admired him for visiting his Dad, it must be difficult. It took a bravery, she reflected. Not the kind that Knights had, but a inner bravery. She blushed a little. She was thinking a bit to much about him, she decided, turning her focus back to her USA history.

Jerome was fiddling with his tie again, now thinking about his Father. How could he have left him? Why was he in jail? Didn't he know he had responsibility to his family. Jerome scowled, almost regretting going to visit his 'Dad'. "Some Dad," he muttered under his breath.

Mara looked up at him, "Jerome?"

"Nothing, nothing," he muttered. "Just nervous," he said, wishing she couldn't get him to admit things like that.

"You'll be fine," she said with a reassuring smile, "And I'll be right next to you."

Jerome nodded, emstill/em playing with his tie, a little embarrassed. "Yes. Thank you Mara."

"If you ever want to talk..."

"You'll be my petite therapist," Jerome said with a small laugh.

Mara grinned at him, "Your shrink?"

Jerome relaxed a little, his hands falling from his tie. "A much better one then any of those fakes you read about. Your real." A strange compliment to be sure, but one never-less. And Jaffary bit her lower lip and blushed.

Mara coughed, "Ahem. Well, you studied any of your history homework?"

"Nope," said Jerome cheerily. "Don't intend too."

Mara rolled her eyes, but sat back in her seat, reading again.

As the time passed by, Jerome begin to get nervous again, and Mara begin to get tired.

And so Jaffray fell asleep on Clarkes shoulder.

THE END.
