Accident

I don't own the Weasley's, J.K Rowling does. If you didn't know that why are you reading HP Fanfic anyways

Summary: Ginny sprains her ankle and can't fly, her brother decide to cheer her up

Ages aren't right, I know:

Bill: 16

Charlie:15

Percy: 13

Twins: 10

Ron: 8

Ginny: 7

Ginny looked up at her big brothers as they flew above her. Oh, how she wanted to join them. She desperately wanted to grab a broom and fly up with them but she couldn't. Ginny had sprained her ankle falling down the stairs (courtesy of the twins) and even though her mother had healed it right away, she was banned from flying or doing any strenuous activity for about a week. So there she sat, on their new front porch, watching in envy as her elder brothers flew about her. They were all huddled in a circle, probably arguing about if someone scored or not. If only that was her biggest problem!

"Can we show her the broom now?" Asked 8 year old Ron. "I hate seeing her upset!"

"Yes, please. I'm starting to feel guilty, something I don't like," George Weasley said. Percy snorted but otherwise kept quiet.

"Okay, fine. Where's her special broom?" Asked Charlie as he kicked his leg back and forth in the air. He was always such an active teenager, unlike Percy who was content to staying in his room for hours on end. In fact, he was only outside to give Ginny her broom.

"In the shed," Fred replied. "Are you sure this will work?"

"Positive," Charlie replied with a grin and wink.

"HEY GIN!" Screamed Bill from the sky. Ginny squinted at him. It was hard to see for the sun was so bright.

"BILL, COME DOWN!" Ginny hollered. Bill did so and sat down next to Ginny.

"We have a surprise for you," Bill said. They watched from the porch as their brothers all flew to the shed and creatd a commotion inside of it.

"What is going on?" Ginny asked.

"Just be patient." Bill replied soothingly. They watched in silence as their brothers walked in a huddle to the pair. They seemed to be arguing about something. Bill rolled his eyes at them and ran a hand through Ginny's hair. Charlie let out a loud exclamation suddenly and ran ahead of the others with a broom over his head.

"Tease me why don't you!? You know I can't fly! Mum said that I-" Ginny started to say but was cut off.

"This is a special broom. We asked Mum and she said you could fly this one," Bill said cutting off his sister.

"Why's it special?" Ginny asked. The broomstick looked like a normal broom to her. Handle? Check. Bristles? Check. Second hand? Judging by the scuff marks, check.

"Well, sit down and we'll show you." Bill said picking Ginny as he did not want to wait for her to grab her crutches.

"Bill, if this is a prank you better-"

"It's not a prank Gin," George promised. "Oh ye of little faith."

"Well if I have little faith you're the reason why! I have a sprained ankle because of you, remember?" Ginny snapped back. Charlie put a comforting hand on the small of her back.

Bill plopped his baby sister down on the broomstick and a foot rest appeared, nesting Ginny's hurt ankle/foot in it. A seat belt buckled Ginny in and an extra handle bar split out of the first one.

"The seat belt will unbuckle if you're about to crash," Bill told her but Ginny was just soaking it all in.

"Bill," Ginny's voice was horse and tense, trying to keep her tears at bay. Bill leaned in closer to hear her. "Thank you. Thank you so much! You're the best!"

"Hey? What about us?" Fred and George exclaimed.

Ginny giggled. "I'll tell you what. If you beat me, I'm say you're the best brothers ever!"

"You're on sister." Fred and George kicked off the ground and sped off into the sky.

Bill smiled at his little sister as she took off after them.

Percy scoffed. "Children."

Bill rolled his eyes. "C'mon Percival. If you win I'll keep the twins from hiding your quills for a week."

Percy inwardly debated that offer. "And if I lose?"

Bill laughed, "don't lose." He kicked off the ground leaving Percy to swallow that threat.

"What? BILL! C'MON BILL!" Percy grumbled under his breath but saddled his broom and took off into the sky like his siblings. Which is where he stayed for the rest of the day. He didn't remember ever having this much fun.

And neither did the rest of them.
