Miley would be together with either Nick or Jake and Lilly would be with either Smokin' Oken or Joe. Oh, and I would guest star! I guess Kevin could be with me…. LMAO. Well, hope you enjoy this drabble.
Miley.
Walking down the sidewalk, I laughed. Lilly was telling me about her moment with Joe, and how Oliver totally ruined it. "Yeah, I know!" Lilly giggled. "It was so stupid! Ollie was like, 'You want to hug him. You want to kiss him.' Ugh, that was so annoying!" Shaking my head, I replied, "What a doughnut."
"I know!" She responded. "And I was like, Oli – uh oh."
"Huh?"
Lilly laughed nervously. "Oh, nothing, Miles." She, then, glared behind me and crossed her arms.
"Lilly, what are you doing?"
I was expecting her to reply, but instead, another voice did. I flinched, recognizing that voice; it was the one I didn't want to hear again. It was the voice of the person I wanted to shun out of my life. "I think she was glaring at me, Miles."
Turning around, I narrowed my eyes, as well. "Nick." I stated, in a harsh tone. "I'm sorry, but only my closest friends can call me that."
Nick.
"Oh really?" I replied, raising a brow.
"Yes." She glowered back.
Sighing, I shook my head. "Miley, I didn't come here to fight, okay?" I said, trying to calm her down.
"Is that so, Jonas?" She tapped her foot impatiently.
"Actually, yes." I answered. Running my fingers through my hair, I looked at the angry girl in front of me. I knew she didn't want to see me, and that she wanted me out of her life after I broke up with her. I regret it, but I know she won't take me back. So, the least I can do is apologize for breaking her heart.
"Why are you talking to me, then?" The girl I still loved questioned.
"I just came here to say that I'm sorry."
She coughed, then, slightly chuckled. "Sorry? Wow, I don't think that cuts it." Miley scoffed. "Did you know how much that day changed my life? I loved you, Nick, more than anyone else!"
Lilly stepped up from behind her. "Miles, chill." She put her hand on her best friend's shoulder, but Miley shrugged it off.
"You broke my freakin' heart, you know that? Because of you, I've changed." She yelled.
Lilly whispered, "And not in a good way."
"Nick," my ex called, "look into my eyes, and you will see what you left me in."
I did what I was told and the only thing I saw was not the usual glow she had in her eyes; it was bitterness.
