The sunlight streamed down on Elizabeth's tanned complexion, accenting her feminine cheekbones. The sunlight made her eyelids slowly rise, though still heavily. Serenely she gazed at her surroundings. A table, a candle whose light had burned out long ago during the dead of the night, a map…two rum bottles, both empty. I don't remember drinking rum……Suddenly her head lifted in an almost jerking action, though not quite since she just woken. She looked at her surroundings once more, her panic level rising rapidly. Taking a long deep breath she very slowly turned her head around. And to her dismay, there he was. Lying right there beside her was Jack Sparrow.

Elizabeth jerked her fingers to her lips, trying to conceal herself, but unsuccessfully. She slept with him… A piercing scream filled the air around her and just as Jack's eyes flickered to life, the skirts of Elizabeth darted around the corner of the door. Jack rubbed his eyes, suddenly wide awake. He too realized what Elizabeth's inference had gathered together, and let out a long sigh. I'm not that selfish, he thought, am I?

Elizabeth dashed about the Pearl until her own doorway came into view. Afraid she was about to scream again at any given second, she slipped into her room more quietly than one thought possible in her fluster of movement. Immediately the pacing began. Elizabeth just couldn't believe it. "No…no…no it's not possible…I wouldn't…he wouldn't…yes he would!" She grabbed her pillow and let out a scream into the fluffiness, which absorbed the sound as if it were a sponge soaking up water. Throwing the pillow back down to her bed, Elizabeth resumed her pacing, and continued her frantic babbling. "There's no way, oh but there is! How could this happen…No…" Most of it wouldn't be very helpful if one was trying to figure out what was going on, but every now and then she'd babble too far, and suddenly she would slap her mouth shut and stifle another scream.

By afternoon Elizabeth had finally calmed herself enough to leave her room for lunch. Will! The young lad was strolling merrily across the Pearl's deck, whistling a soft tune that was frightfully annoying, in Elizabeth's thoughts. She gave him a quick look of acknowledgement and hurried past. She sighed as Will seemed none to bothered by her nervousness jumpiness. She finally made it to the safety of the dinning section on the Pearl, and sheepishly chose some food and selected a seat. Oh great…Jack was just walking into the room as well, his eyes searching for something, more likely someone. Then they clamped onto her own eyes, which Elizabeth quickly averted, feeling very awkward. Jack marched over to her, seriousness clouding his usual jovial personality. Without any words he grabbed Elizabeth's hand and pulled to the privacy of the railings on the southern end of the Pearl, before Elizabeth could reject, which I must point out would be very hard considering they had been on the northern end to begin with.

"Elizabeth, I know what you're thinking…" Elizabeth blinked in acceptance, knowing he probably did. Jack took in a breath and continued, "But you're jumping to a false conclusion." Elizabeth sighed and rolled her eyes. "This isn't something you should joke about, Jack…" "Believe me, I'm not joking…you're wrong!" Elizabeth sighed, knowing she was going to have to spell it out for him, but suddenly Jack cut her off. "Elizabeth…I would never drink your rum!"
