-Reader's Pov-

I sat on the roof of the old shack, lost in the middle of a forest. I looked out at the setting sun. It looked like a raging fire behind the old Phantomhive Mansion. I loved to watch the beautiful sky try to eat at the trees, the Mansion, and my heart. Or that's what it felt like, I was lost and alone, at times I thought no one would ever help me. But I could manage. I jumped off of the building and morphed into a cat. Seeing as I had lived in the forest all my life there was no need for clothes, so I had none. My cat form kept me warm at night so I slept like that.

'Tomorrow maybe I'll go see that Mansion for myself.'

-Time skip-

The sunlight peered through the tree leaves and I opened my eyes. The trees were swaying in the breeze above me like normal, but something seemed off. I felt like today would hold something in store for me. So I started on my way to the Phantomhive Mansion. When I finally arrived a wonderful garden was spread out ahead of me. There were tiger lillies, different colored roses, babys breath, and so many more. I walked through the garden until I found a man almost in the center of it.

He had black hair, lustrous red eyes, and was wearing a butlers outfit with the jacket off. I walked up to him and rubbed against his leg as he was crouched in the dirt. He noticed me a left what he was doing.

"What are you doing here? The young Master doesn't like cats." Never the less he picked me up and walked over to a tree, pressing his back to it. He held me in his lap and scratched my back and head.

"You're a beautiful cat aren't you? There even seems to be something wrong with your soul." My ears drooped down and so did my tail. I clawed his hand and ran under one of the rose bushes.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." He walked over to the red roses I had crawled under and knelt down. "Why crawl under the red ones? They have more thorns than the others." I crawled back out and changed into a girl as the man put me on his lap. His eyes widened in surprise.

"Because they remind me of the color of your eyes." I reached up and put a hand on his pale face. "They are so beautiful, I've never seen anything like them."
