Disturbance.

She heard it first.

Then he listened.

It was faint but none the less it was there.

It sounded as though the entire Earth had shook for the briefest of moments, quivering in fear and anticipation at what was to come.

It was a sound like Hollywood had used to signify an approaching T-Rex or a large stomping robot.

But this sound, this sound was real and far more chilling; it cut through to your very soul and filled it with dread and fear and your entire body shivered with each low shuddering vibration.

He concentrated and waited for the noise to sound once again.

There it was; a distant trembling rumble that drew closer with each passing second, and with it he felt every molecule that surrounded him quake.

It chilled him to the core of his being and made the hair on the back of his neck rise to stand on end.

Chaos and destruction unlike any he had ever known was looming and imminent.

A storm was brewing.
