Kol smiled when his eyes landed on the doppelganger, he made his way over towards her and as soon as she noticed he was there he spoke, "Ah, if it isn't sweet little Elena, how are you darling?"
"I'd be much better if I wasn't talking to you." she snapped back right away as if challenging him to keep talking.
"No need to be so rude, love. I didn't mean for my company to make you feel uncomfortable. You just looked a bit lonely standing over here by yourself, I'm surprised one of your bodyguards aren't by your side." He raised his eyebrows at her and smirked teasingly.
Elena rolled her eyes, "I'm actually happy they aren't watching my every move for once so if you don't mind I would rather not get their attention by talking to an original."
Kol nodded, as if he was actually going to obey her wish, but instead of walking away he took a step closer. "If what you want is to get away from them, I can help you with that." He smirked, her heart was beating fast, he loved how invading her space affected her. "How about you and me get out of here, for a little while." He raised an eyebrow as he awaited her answer.
"That's a terrible idea, they'll panic the second they realize I'm not here and you're the last person I'd want to go anywhere with." She tilted her head to the side, "You'd probably kill me then throw me in a ditch along the side of the road."
Kol chuckled softly, "Oh, Elena, I could never do that. Although, upsetting Niklaus does entertain me… I'd much rather have you alive."
"I'd rather be dead than spend time with you." she shot back, frowning at the thought of spending time with one of the originals.
His lips formed a straight line, her words clearly hurt him, "Why are you so harsh to me when you don't even know a thing about me?"
"I already know not to trust you, your family isn't exactly very trust worthy." she told him, avoiding his eyes.
Kol smiled, "But yet you trust my brother, Elijah." He reminded her, "So why is it that you can't trust me? Is it because I make you nervous?" He asked, his head tilted to the side. He smiled kindly at her, "If that is the reason then I apologize."
Elena shook her head, "You don't make me nervous, Kol."
Kol took another step towards her, "Is that so?" He asked with a smirk, "You're on edge, Elena. Your heart is beating faster than usual, your breathing is irregular and every time I take a step forward you flinch."
Elena sighed, "It's not easy to be comfortable around a vampire who could literally kill you in a second if they so desired."
Kol frowned, "How many times do I have to tell you? I don't want to harm you, I just so happen to like pretty little things with sharp tongues."
A/N: Should I continue? I ship Delena all the way but I guess you can call Kolena my crack ship for Elena.
