Decode – Paramore
The Doctor had so many secrets. Things he never told her. He wanted to tell her, but, some things were meant to be. She would find out sooner or later. She was brilliant like that. Always figuring things out. But, at the same time, the Doctor hoped she never found out. It would get her into trouble. It would get her into trouble.
Martha Jones was to curious for her own good.
Don't Trust Me – 3OH!3
Martha wanted him, that much he knew. She knew she could never have him. He was not to be trusted. But, she couldn't control herself. She needed him. And she would never leave him.
The Doctor wanted her, but he couldn't have her. And that really sucks.
Traffic Light – The Ting Tings
He was like a traffic light. Always telling her when to stop, when to slow down, and when to go. Both literally and metaphorically speaking. The were hiding from God knows what, and the Doctor was guarding the movements of both of them. Telling her when to run and when to stop. Never letting her do what she wanted.
But, sometimes, it was better that way.
Can't Stop the Rain – CASCADA
She didn't want to leave, but she had to. He didn't fight very hard to get her to stay. She supposed that he had finally gotten the message. But, she still regretted her decision. She thought of nothing but him. She knew it was better this way. She missed him, but not enough to call him. She didn't want to. If he wanted her back, than he was going to have to come and get her on his own.
Straighjacket – Alanis
He was driving her insane. Always skirting around the issues. It was almost as if he couldn't tell what she wanted. As if he wasn't listening. He filled to the brim with promises unkempt. He wanted to control her. She wouldn't let it happen.
Still Around – 3OH!3
She was going to leave. They all left at some point. He wanted to see her again. He knew that shortly she'll be gone forever. She wouldn't be around for much longer. He hoped he'd see her before then.
And he just might.
Falling Down – Birthday Massacre
He wanted something. He always did. Never came just to say hello. Always another alien. Eventually, she told him no. She was tired of coming at his beck and call. He handled it pretty well, went and found someone else. Someone that would do whatever he wanted. Whenever he wanted.
She was glad it wasn't her.
What's My Age Again – Blink-182
The Doctor was never a very romantic man. Nor was he mature. He definitely didn't act his age, he found it hard to act like he was over a century old. He didn't particularly want to grow up.
And that was why she left.
Be the One – The Ting Tings
She wanted to follow her heart, but he wanted her to rationalize. Wanted her to think. She didn't want to. She didn't want to be the only one that was happy. It was mutual agreement.
Not her idea.
Spiderwebs – No Doubt
She was stuck. As cliché as it sounds, she was stuck on him. But, he didn't feel the same, as hard as he tried to hide it. He wasn't over Rose. He would tell her he was. So she left. And now, he only called her to get her to help with some alien crisis. She stopped answering. Always screening her phone calls.
She always called him back, though.
