The end of the day school bell rang, Tina got up as she grabbed her books, she looked over at Artie who was struggling with his wheelchair.
Tina's instincts kicked in and walked over to Artie to help him, "Hey Artie, need some help?" she asked wearing a smile, that odd for her, but she looked beautiful smiling with her curly hair touching her tan skin.
"No thank you, I got it." Artie said wheeling away.
"Well at least let me carry your books to Glee club. Is that a deal?"
"You drive a hard bargain, so Alright." Artie replied.
Tina walked along side Artie in the hallway where they met up with Mercedes on the way to Glee.
"Did y'all hear about Quinn? Puck asked again to help with baby-on-board again, and she rejected. Man, I get having pride, but that girl needs to realize she ain't Supergirl." Mercedes gossiped on the way to Glee club.
When they got to the auditorium, Rachel naturally was standing there first. Her long dark brown hair behind her ear, she was wearing a gold sweater over a purple plaid shirt, with a matching skirt.
Mr. Shue' walked in the room, followed by Kurt, Britney and Quinn. Puck and Finn walked awkwardly in the auditorium, separated only by Mike and Santana. Matt followed behind them shortly.
"Alright let's start! We need to be on our A-game if we want to beat Vocal Adrenalin in two weeks!" Mr Schuester said as the Glee club sat down. "I decided we are gonna change up the solos on our next song, Bohemian Rhapsody. Artie gets the male lead, and Tina sings the female lead."
Finn smiled, sure he liked singing and stuff, but it was nice not being the male lead everyone once in awhile.
Rachel and Mercedes didn't take it that lightly tough, they both had frowns and glares.
"Can I at least have one diva high-note?" Rachel asked marching up to Mr. Schue' and folding her arms.
"Hell naw'! If anyone gets to be a diva it's me!" Mercades said standing up.
"No, it is I Kurt Hummel!" Kurt said challenging Mercedes and Rachel, but more Rachel than Mercedes. Rachel was always stealing his spotlight and the boy he wanted. It wasn't fair. Rachel had it all.
"Guys, calm down!" Mr. Schuester hollered. "I am sure, Mercedes, Rachel, and Kurt all will get a chance to be in the spotlight, but not for this song. I am giving everyone an equal chance to shine."
Rachel reluctantly walked back to her seat while Mercedes and Kurt sat down.
"Now, let's get this music out and no more whining."
Tina was happy she was getting a solo, with Artie, of all people! She was so happy inside, it almost caused her to smile again.
Artie was excited, nervous, and a little mad He and Tina were still pretty close, and she was trying to make up for her awful lie, but they could never be as close as they once were. Tina lied, and faked a problem, Artie would never even think of faking something, he was already in a wheelchair and knew what being an outcast felt like. Never would he wish for it.
