Summary: Once those three little words were out, Kaitlyn just wanted to crawl under a rock and die. That is, until he said them back. RollinsKaitlyn, oneshot

Okay! I've been wanting to write another fic about Seth Rollins and Kaitlyn for the longest time, so here it is! It's just a little drabbly thing, but I just wanted to write a little something to add to the archive for this lovely pairing. I will try to get back to all the requests I have to write soon! Please enjoy!

Reciprocity

"I love you!"

The words were spontaneous, a product of the moment, but that did not make them any less true. Kaitlyn automatically clapped a hand over her mouth, her eyes widening at her mistake. She hadn't even realized what had come over her, for her to declare that so boisterously loud.

It had been just another conversation, one that had been just as ordinary as the everyday one. Nothing spectacular about it. Nothing that should have warranted her sudden confession.

But it had happened, nonetheless.

Kaitlyn felt the urge to curl into the fetal position in the corner, tried to come up with words to tell him that she was just saying that, that she didn't mean it, that it had come up in the head of the moment and things had not changed.

But she hated lying.

She realized she hadn't looked at him since she said those fateful words. She figured he was trying to find a polite way to...well, turn her down, she supposed. Or laugh it off. Or, hell, maybe he up and split and she hadn't been paying attention because she was so mortified.

So, with her breath in her throat, she looked up.

And found Seth Rollins staring back at her.

Kaitlyn blinked. Well, he didn't look like he regretted hearing it. Honestly...he looked happy. He stared down at her, his eyes strangely soft, but there was a boyish grin on his face, one that caused her stomach to clench at the sight of it. She remembered just why she felt the need to say those words earlier. She'd say them again right at this moment if she wasn't so mortified from her earlier transgression. And again, and again.

But Seth looked at her, bringing out a tentative hand to rest against her cheek, that impish smile never leaving his face. "Is that true?"

For some reason, all the excuses from before fled her mind, leaving her with nothing else to say but, "Yeah."

Then, surprising Kaitlyn so much that she almost fell over right then and there, Seth pressed his lips to hers. It was short and sweet and it almost made her giggle like the schoolgirl she wasn't.

"I love you, too."

"Yeah?" she asked, uncertain despite herself.

Seth's grin widened. "I'd be a fool not to."

Smiling, Kaitlyn leaned up and pressed a kiss to the corner of his mouth.

End.
