'I wish, and I wish,' Kagome thought, glancing back at the campsite to see Inuyasha picking Shippo roughly up by the tail, 'Yet he never seems to care.' She picked up the ends of her hair, looking at the freshly cut hairstyle.

She'd cut it because she thought he'd notice, she Iwished/I he'd notice, but it was all failed attempts it seemed. In fact no one seemed to notice her hair, she was quickly fading away. She constantly had to grab some part of her to make sure she was still solid.

She turned back away from the camp, away from the light of the fire, away from the light of her life. She glanced up at the sky, watching as a white light flew across it. "I wish I wouldn't have to wish anymore." She sighed resting her head against her knees. Tears of sadness filling her eyes.

She didn't hear the soft foot steps coming toward her, nor did she notice when a form sat down beside her. She did notice when I called hand ran itself through her hair, brushing her short locks out of her face. "Your beautiful." He whispered in amazement, and she peaked out of her arms, wondering if this was real.

"What?" She questioned stupidly shock in her eyes.

"I said- uh." he clearly stumbled over his words. "I like your hair." He turned his head a way from her abruptly. "Wench."

And just like that, she didn't need to wish anymore. She was here, and he cared.
