A/N: Okay so this was something I had lying around. It's not the best thing I've written but I think it's nice so yeah. But I'm not continuing after this chapter.
This time that Castiel went to see Dean there was no fluttering of wings, but there still was a surprise, it was just Castiel that was surprised. He had found his way back to the bunker, because that was his first thought. And it was where he felt home was, since he couldn't return to Heaven. If Heaven ever was his home.
You'd think after the last two weeks he had gone through, there was nothing left to jolt him. But this, this was one thing he'd never wanted to see, Dean was in the living room of the bunker, crying. "Dean." Castiel said. He wasn't really sure what to say after that. When Dean looked up, after wiping his face of tears, you could see how the behavior of his face changed, though it only took a few seconds. The walls that built so fast after years of practice.
"Cas. You're alive." He started, then stood up and walked over to Cas. "Yes, that is obvious." Castiel replied. But right now Cas was switching back and forth from being lost in Dean's eyes and lost in his freckles. And without either one realizing it, they stepped closer to each other and kissed, it was an innocent kiss, like one from a first date. But the ones that came after that weren't.
