Hey guys here's my first MHA story for ya! Hope you enjoy it! Also I do not own any bit of the Elder Scrolls or of MHA.
Unknown pov
'Men are not all created equal.'
That phrase has been true since the beginning of time, no matter a person's belief's, dreams or standing in the world those six words effect all of them. And I was no different, since the day I could even understand what words meant that phrase had been hammered into my head.
This wasn't meant to discourage me however, quite the opposite really. For me those words announced a challenge, a challenge to prove yourself above the views others have of you no matter the obstacle.
You see my family had a long history, so long in fact that the world itself has forgotten what it used to be. Still, the more things change the more they stay the same. This more 'modern' world is stilled filled with heroes and villains wanting to fulfill their own goals and dreams to whatever end.
Only in this day and age heroes are nothing more than a bunch of costumed people with a license to use their gifts to help people, how stupid. Back in the ancient days of the world a hero could be anyone as long as they were willing to protect the innocent at the risk of their lives, no one needed a piece of laminated paper to have the right to do so. Guess that's what happen's when the world tries to be more 'civil.'
I sigh out loud at my ranting thoughts as I walk down through the park to get back home quicker. My family and I had just recently moved to Mustafu Japan and upon insistence from my parents I was exploring the new environment, much to my chagrin.
Many would find it odd that a five year old would have such complex thoughts, but then they had never met someone of my bloodline before and the fact that my very soul is not that of a human's but an ancient dragon's as well as my blood.
Back when the world was once called Nirn people like me were once called Dragnonborn, nowadays they call our ancient and revered powers a mere quirk. I really wish things were like back in ancient times so I wouldn't have to hide my bloodline just because of the laws regarding quirks and their usage.
My thoughts were broken however when I heard a commotion nearby and with my curiosity peaked I decided to see what was happening.
What I found was a pretty saddening sight, a boy no older than myself with freckles and green curly hair and emerald green eyes was standing in front of another pretty average looking boy who was sprawled out on the ground.
In front of the two of them was three other boys of the same age but had an air of malicious intent upon them. The scrawny boy, and chubby boy were of no interest compared to the apparent leader who was a boy with short, spiky blonde hair and red eyes that glared at the other child.
I found it weird that they all wore the same clothes consisting of a white t-shirt and blue shorts with some sneakers but this country was always weird to me so I ignored it.
My interest in the current situation was peaked and so I decided to wait and see what would happen.
"What do ya think your doing Deku!?" yelled the blonde haired boy to 'Deku' who looked afraid but still replied back.
"W-what your doing is wrong Kaachan! I-I-I won't let you do what you want!" declared the green haired boy known as Deku to the now identified 'Kaachan'
This seemed to only anger the blonde haired boy as I could hear him growl in his throat just before a savage smile formed on his lips and tiny explosions started coming from his palms. In response to this his two cronies displayed their own quirks. The scrawny one was able to elongate his fingers while the chubby one had red bat wings that didn't seem able to lift him very far due to his weight.
"In that case, I'll just have to teach you a lesson Deku!" roared Kaachan as he and his cronies charged the green haired youth.
To my surprise Deku stood his ground and didn't run, though I could see the shaking in his limbs and fear in his eyes I could also see the determination to not back down shining in those emerald colored orbs. I barely acknowledged the boy he had been protecting run away as I decided to make my presence known and hopefully find out more about my green haired peer.
Third person pov
As the trio of bullies charged their new victim a sudden voice called through the air, a voice that radiated power of ancient origins. Even if it was just one word none would be able to deny the power behind it, especially the three it was directed at.
"FUS!"
From that word came a wave of energy that slammed into the three bullies and sent the flying in different directions. The scrawny boy ended up in a tree wee he was wrapped up in his own fingers hanging from a branch. His chubby companion ended up tangled in the swing set with one wing obviously broken.
It was Bakugou that made a relatively 'safe' landing as he had merely landed near one of the slides and unlike his two cronies he was still conscience if a little bruised up.
Izuku for his part was stunned, he had expected to be beaten once again by his former friend turned tormentor only for some unknown force to just throw them away with a single word. As Bakugou regained his bearings Izuku looked around for the apparent source of the attack and found it in the form of an approaching boy around the same age as himself.
Said boy had fair skin with short, spiky raven black hair with amber colored eyes with reptilian slit's for pupils. He wore a grey t-shirt with some kind of dragon symbol on the front (dragonborn symbol), with a pair of dark blue jeans and some dark brown boots.
"What the hell was that!? Did you do that!?" roared a now aware explosive maniac at the new boy that had shown up.
Said boy just gave him a raised brow before answering, "yeah I did so what?"
"Why would you help that quirkless Deku!?"
At his words Izuku recoiled as he knew what would happen next. This wasn't the first time someone had tried to stand up for him, but when they found out he was quirkless they would quickly turn on him and he expected this time to be no different.
"Cause I saw an asshole attacking and decided to intervene thats why." answered the boy as he was now even more interested in the green haired youth since despite being quirkless he still had the guts to face down three boys by himself.
"But he's quirkless, a Deku!" screamed Bakugou as he couldn't seem to comprehend why someone would stand up for someone who had literally nothing special about him.
"And yet he had the courage to stand up to you and your two clowns despite knowing he was both outnumbered and outmatched all to protect another. That to me screams the makings of a hero." replied the boy with an edge.
Izuku was now well and truly stunned. Not only did a this other boy not care he was quirkless but he even said he had the makings of a hero! Not even his mother believed in his dream yet here this strange boy was saying the very words he had longed to hear ever since he was pronounced quirkless. The mere relief of having someone believing in his dream was enough to bring tears to his eyes.
Sadly it didn't seem Bakugou shared the sentiment, quite opposite really. The boy was grinding his teeth so hard that one wouldn't be surprised if sparks started to fly. He just didn't understand how this extra could possibly believe Deku of all people could be a hero. So as usual he let his anger take control.
"DIIIIIIIEEEEEE!" roared the blonde as he charged the other boy with small explosions coming from his hands.
The other boy merely watched his attacker approach without a care as the boy had no style and was being driven by only his anger which would make his next actions all the easier.
When Bakagou reached him he threw a hand forward with an explosion ready, only his target easily read the move and simply tilted his head to the side to avoid the extended limb.
While his attacker was still surprised at his missed attack his opponent was already in motion as he grabbed the offending limb around the wrist and with a turn and a tug he threw his assailant over his shoulder with a great deal of strength.
Bakugou was sent hurtling through the air once more, only this time he landed head first in the trunk of the tree one of his cronies hung from. The impact wasn't enough to cause any serious damage save for a concussion and had the desired effect of knocking out the blonde haired youth.
Seeing as there were no more threats to deal with the boy made his way to the stunned looking greenete. Izuku for his part was put into a stunned silence at what this boy had just done to his friend turned bully with little effort. It made him even more in awe as numerous thoughts ran through his mind at what his quirk could be and figured it had something to due with the wave of energy he saw right after that word was spoken, maybe he had a sound based quirk?
Izuku was broken from is thoughts as the boy now stood in front of him and he could see that he was a little taller than himself. He then saw the hand extended towards him and the smile the boy was giving him.
Seeing the friendly gesture Izuku quickly returned it with the clasping of their hands in a generic handshake while expressing his thanks, "thank you for helping me with Kaachan. I'm Midoriya Izuku, but you can call me Izuku."
"No problem, my name is Thorric Bloodscales but you can just call me Thor. But if your name is Izuku why does he call you Deku?" asked Thor as he gestured towards the unconscious Bakugou.
Izuku seemed to curl into himself as he answered, "o-oh that? He just call me that because it means worthless, and I'm worthless since I don't have a quirk."
Before Izuku could sink too far into his sad memories he felt Thor lay a hand on his shoulder in a comforting manner.
"You are not worthless Izuku, many have forgotten that a quirk does not make the hero. No matter what anyone else says if you have the drive then you can be a hero, especially if the one saying it is a brat with anger issues." said Thor with a bit of a joking tone towards the end.
If Izuku was having trouble holding tears back before then it was next to impossible now to stop them.
"T-thank y-y-you Thor." said Izuku with a watery smile.
Though he was a little weirded out about the amount of tears the boy was producing he could somewhat understand that it must have been hard to have the dream of being a hero in a world where everyone only saw a quirk as the only means to achieve it. Even so he could see the boy had the drive and mentality of a hero and sometimes thats all one needed, along with a little help of course.
"No problem Izuku, now how about we talk about how we're gonna make you a hero?" said Thor as he wrapped an arm around Izuku's shoulders and started to lead him away from the park.
"Wait, what!? How are we gonna make me a hero?" exclaimed Izuku in surprise.
"By training you of course! If you can't be a hero with a quirk then we just gotta make it so that you can be as strong as someone with a quirk, though it will be extremely difficult and torturous I know some people who could help and I'll be helping as well." explained Thor to a now more hopeful Izuku.
"R-really!? T-thank you Thor! Oh by the way w-what is y-your quirk if you don't mind me asking? I don't w-want to be rude I-I just like learning about quirks is all!"frantically said Izuku as he didn't want his new hopeful friend to be given the wrong idea.
Thor couldn't help but chuckle a little at his peers shy nature, though he was also a little angered by it as it just showed how little interaction he has had with others his own age. Heck he was probably the guys only real friend at this point! That said he had no problem answering Izuku's question.
"I don't mind Izuku and don't thank me just yet, you may just regret it. As for my quirk, well my family calls it Thu'um, or the Voice. On official records however, it is called the Shout." explained to a now fascinated Izuku.
As the two continued to walk to Izuku's home neither one noticed a large figure watching the interaction from a distance. This figure stood nearly seven feet tall and was a mountain of muscle with fair skin and dark blonde hair that fell to his neck, with a single bang on the right done in a small braid. The man's eye's were of a similar look to Thor's only in a more reddish shade, for attire he wore a black leather vest with a pair of faded jeans and combat boots. The feature that stood out the most however, was the blood red war paint that adorned the man's cheekbones and jawline in the form of fangs.
This man was Hedvir Blooscales, father of Thorric Bloodscales.
He had watched the interaction between his son and his new companion and couldn't help but chuckle at the encounter. Just from watching them he already knew they would become close friends, much like his son he could see the potential that the young lad had and would be happy to be the one to bring it out.
Walking away with his hands in his pocket's he was already planning the training schedule he would put the boy on as well as meeting the boy mother to get her approval. Another chuckle escaped the man's lips at the thought of what his wife would do once she learned their son made a new friend on his first day in their new home.
Oh yes things were certainly looking interesting for the Dragonborn of this era indeed.
Well there's the prologue chapter for ya! Next will be the years leading up to Izuku's meeting with all might. Now for those who are curious Izuku will NOT be receiving any magic training save for enchantment, everything else will be on the table however save for Shout's. The reason for that is that it takes years just to learn and master a single Shout of three words so Izuku wouldn't be as dedicated to that aspect compared to the others. That being said I will allow him to learn ONE Shout, what that is I will leave for you to suggest but make sure it's a good one and give me a reason as to why he would learn that one as compared to all the others.
