"I don't know if I can do this," Dr. Miller said, looking at the envelope on his desk.
"Come on, Jack," Joseph Smythe said, putting his elbows on his knees. "We've been planing this for months. You said they were perfect."
"They are perfect, but it's just…"
"It's just what?" Joseph says, leaning forward and tapping the envelope. "That's 5 million dollars, Jack. Just for you. No one has to know."
"It's just…they seem like such nice people. I'm not sure I can just take one of their children from them…"
"She has no idea she's pregnant with twins, right?"
"Yes, but…"
"And they're fraternal? A girl and a boy?"
"Yes…"
"Just give me the boy. I'm not asking for both. They will be over joyed to know they have a beautiful baby girl. They will never have to know."
Dr. Miller picks up the envelope and runs a finger over the wad of bills. He sighs and extends his hand. "It's a deal."
"Great," Joseph Smythe says, shaking his hand firmly.
