Lonely

Loneliness has always been with me,
but ever since I first saw she,
when she first began to visit,
I'm going to admit,
I was quite stunned.
I knew she'd never notice me,
even though she came everyday to give me tea.
She'd smile and bob her head in the cutest way
and as the blush would creep up, I'd turn away.
She never noticed this, which is for the best, I guess.
So helpful and kind,
she overflows my thoughts and mind.
I hope this doesn't develop into an obsession,
but through a sudden realization,
I fear it has come to that…
Lonely am I all of the time,
except when I hear her voice chime,
"Perry, how are you today?"
I simply reply, "Okay."
I don't dare to face her big brown eyes.
All of a sudden, my world comes crashing down,
now I begin drown,
for my eyes can't stand
to see her hand in hand
with another man.
Who is this man,
the man who ruined my plan?
Who stole my happily ever after?
I can't even stand their loving laughter,
that look in her eyes should be for me…
Oh sweet loneliness only you love me,
only you seem to hold the key
to my heart that is bleeding on the floor,
as she walks through the door
on her wedding day.
Here they are, so eager and happy,
if I'm going to make my move I'd better be snappy,
but the way she beams and blushes,
causing blood rushes
inside my head, I hesitate.
I say everything right,
painful as it is, I try with all my might,
for she deserves happiness
and nothing less
because that is what real love is.
As lonely as I am,
it feels great to see my little lamb
in love,
my little dove,
I'm happy if you are…
Author's Note: My first Harvest Moon Poem, yay! Hopefully I didn't make Perry sound like a total stalker or something. I thought of this pairing when Perry told me he was lonely because people only come to the church for weddings. I also was wondering why he wasn't a bachelor. Pastors can get married (he is a pastor, right?) so why doesn't he? Oh well. Anyway, I felt bad for him and wrote this. If you have any pairing requests, ask away! Try to keep it crack though and I don't mind if it is boy/boy or girl/girl. It doesn't matter. Thanks for reading!
