What Color is Your Wienerschnitzel?
It was a Saturday afternoon and Kurt Wagner had a date with Kitty Pryde. The biggest problem however, was money. He asked everyone in the mansion for a loan--
"I got to make my car payment." Scott said as he was washing his red convertible.
"Auntie O's birthday is coming up and I've already skipped on her last four. Sorry dude."
Excuse after excuse, Kurt was shot down. He finally found salvation in Professor Xavier.
"I understand Kurt that this is your first date with Miss Pryde, however this loan you ask for--"
"Please sir, I'll pay you back before you know it."
"Kurt, I'm the heir of millions of dollars--just be sure to pay me back once you get your allowance."
"You can count on me sir," Kurt made a lazy salut then rushed out of Xavier's office.
A few hours later Kurt stepped out of the shower to get dressed. "Kurt, are you ready?" Kitty knocked on his door.
"I'll be right out." He had just put on deodorant and then a black shirt. He was sure to make sure that his holowatch was functionally properly, then exited his room.
In the car Kitty was fidgeting with her seatbelt, keeping her eyes on the floor. "So, I hear that new students will be coming to the school in a couple of weeks--"
"Yeah," Kurt replied. Kurt just drove into town and was driving downtown where he planned for his date.
"Welcome to Wienerschnitzel, can I take your order?" Kurt looked over at Kitty.
"I'll just have a chocolate dipped cone." Kurt looked back at the menu. He could have sworn they had salads or baked potatoes.
"Kitty I'm sorry, they must be under new management or something."
"It's fine, really.
"Are you sure." They both stood at the window as the cashier waited.
"Kurt, maybe you should order something." People were lining up behind them.
"I'll have five regulars," Kitty looked at him with wide eyes and he just smirked.
"For here or to go?"
"For here."
"Your total comes out to ten-fifty." Kurt handed her the money and then he walked over to a table with Kitty, as she started to eat her ice cream cone.
"I bet you're wondering why we're here instead of someplace . . . fancier."
"Well, I may have heard that you were short on cash, so I figured we'd be going to your favorite restaurant."
"Actually they closed down Burger Town USA for complaints that the Burger Bomb is unhealthy."
"Order 168."
Kurt excused himself from the table to get his order, then came back. "I still don't see how you can eat five regulars." Kurt opened his bag however and grimaced.
"I don't think I will be eating any," he showed her.
"Kurt, your wienerschnitzel is pink." She almost laughed.
"Tell me about it." He started to laugh.
