I don't own nothing!

Just a story I barfed up. I kinda fear that it may be a piece of crap but you can be the judge. I would adore you if you review and do so honestly. Critiques are the best.

Nihon was really a different place now, or was it the other way around and he was

a different person? Either way, Kurogane knew the place that had once felt so concrete to

him was now changed in so many aspect. Yet it was impossible to pinpoint just one. The

most prominent one had to be that he no longer felt like he was home. Well more over

that this wasn't what made his home, this was a place he loved but it definitely not where

he belonged.

For the first several days Kurogane could not bring himself to admit this fact.

Nihon had always been where he was destined to be for the entirety of his life. He had

sworn such to the princess and he was a man who never broke his word. Soon it began to

haunt his sleep, leaving him short tempered and constantly dozing off at times. Syaoran

seemed increasingly worried about him but knew better, after more than two years of

traveling with the man, then to say anything. It would only lead to the black haired man

becoming defensive and create an awkward tension amongst them all. Fai handled it rather

differently, instead of treading egg shells around Kurogane he blurted it out in the open.

And it all seemed to blow over between the two just fine as Fai allow the back of his head

to be smacked roughly but everyone could still see the concerned looks that those ice blue

eyes shot at the tall man when he wasn't looking.

The matter remained unsolved until that morning. For the first time since arriving

in Nihon, Kurogane had a proper night sleep and awoke as the grey of dawn slipped

through the slightly ajar door. He rolled over lazily, reaching out, expecting to feel the

blonde's usual warmth next too him. When he came to notice that this was missing he

pried opened an eye to blurrily gaze around the empty room. After a moment of gathering

his senses, Kurogane rose with a low groan and lazily pulled on clothing and shuffled over

towards the door.

"Did I wake you Kuro-tan?" The mage's bright voice rung out through the clear

morning and the other turned to see Fai smiling radiantly at him from the edge of the

porch where he lounged watching the sunrise.

Kurogane settled for an indignant "hmph" and took a seat next to the man. And t

hat was it, nothing more nothing less. It was in that instant that it full on hit him. What he

felt was missing from Nihon he felt right at that instant. By simply sitting there with the

other he felt loved and secure. For once he wasn't angry or worried, he was just simply at

peace.

He had never lost his home, he had simply found it at the side of Syoaran and Fai.

There he was with the people that mattered the most to him. That was why when the time

came to Nihon he couldn't bring himself to become upset but only take Tomoyo's

knowing smile as acceptance that he would not be remaining.
