Willow sat on Tara's bed, knees pulled up to her chest, watching the blonde witch sleep. She smiled into the dark, gently rubbing Tara's back.
"Mmmm…Willow?" Tara mumbled, rolling over onto her back.
"What is it Tara?"
"Am I asleep?"
Willow chuckled. "Uh…I think so." She squinted in the dim light, trying to get a glimpse of Tara's face. "Your eyes are closed."
"Oh." Tara shifted on the bed, lying on her side, facing Willow. Willow could see a faint smile on her lips. "Mmm…Willow?"
"Yes?"
"Talk to me."
"Talk to you? Tara, you're asleep. Uh…are you sure you want me to talk to you? I mean, will you remember me talking to you later? You know…uh…when you wake up?"
"Dunno…" The blonde witch stretched, her speech muffled by sleep. "Tell me something you wouldn't tell me…"
"If you were awake?" Willow guessed.
"Yeah…something…like…" The statement was never finished; Willow looked over, noticing that the blonde witch's breathing had slowed down and was steady. She was fast asleep.
Willow smiled into the dark, whispering to the shadows. "Something I wouldn't tell you if you were awake huh? Well, I like holding your hand when we do spells; I love being with you…." She trailed off, a thought suddenly occurring to her. She put her chin in her hand, staring lovingly at Tara once more, then laid down next to her, pulling her close. She brushed a strand of hair away from Tara's face, whispering into her ear. "Since you came into my life, you have become my whole world. Everything in life before you meant nothing. But now…" She kissed the blonde witch's shoulder affectionately. "But now…it means so much more." She curled her legs into Tara's back, laying her head on her shoulder, slowly drifting off to sleep. "I love you Tara."
