Florida was a sunny place, bright with lots of lovely stores I can go shop in. Oh, what a delight. The gang and I were taking an America world tour, in the Mystery Machine and we were stopping off in Florida to visit Velma's grandma, Leona. She lived not far from Disney Land and apparently her house was very beautiful. Well, living in the Dinkly family with brains like theirs ought to do them some good.

We arrived in Florida at 7 o clock in the evening; Fred was exhausted after a 4 hour journey of driving. Poor him. Shaggy offered to drive, but we all immediately rejected the idea, Shaggy was a pretty rubbish driver, even though I can't say anything!

Velma was right, the mansion was amazing! The house was set in an array of palm trees, a large gravel path leading up to the white house on the cliffs. The sun was about to set, and it left a mystical background behind the house. The house itself was very large, and set like a penthouse. There were sophisticated windows dotted around the house, and an extravagant front garden, that showed every aspect of the house.

We walked up the path to the beautiful house and rang the doorbell. The sound was pretty, very gentle. A woman in her mid 60s, mixing some cake batter, answered the door. "Hello Velma how nice to see you and all of your friends! Come in, come in."

As I entered, I smelt something odd, something in between flowers and cheap perfume.

The house was massive inside! There were 13 rooms including a huge library, 6 bedrooms and a leisure room. Out the back there was a deep blue swimming pool and a table with chairs. The sun was beating down on my head, making me feel dizzy.

"Now I'll show you to your rooms" Leona said.

While Leona was leading us up the white marble stairs, there were paintings lining the walls. They looked like people from the 40's, wearing expensive looking clothes with no emotion on their faces. They were actually pretty scary to be honest.

"This will be your room Fred."

It was gorgeous. It had red and gold striped walls with a huge double bed. A massive, sparkling chandelier was hanging from the high ceiling and there was also an en-suite.

"Make yourself at home Fred "

Shaggy and Scooby slept in another room and Velma had her own big room too.

Next was my room. It was even better than Fred's! There were pastel yellow walls with flowery wallpaper on one wall. There was a massive 50" television and a huge bed as well. There was also a big wardrobe to put all of my designer clothes in!

"This is lovely!", I screamed excitedly.

"Thank you dear, better get some sleep now, goodnight."
