As stated this is a prequel, this takes place when Danny is five, it's basically the tale of how he met Sasha, don't own DP, just Sasha, and I also don't own Little Red Riding Hood.
Danny giggled as he ran from his sister. They were playing hide and seek. He ran out the door into the back yard and saw a gap that led out of the yard. Ignoring his mothers warning to not leave the yard alone he ran out.
He stopped and saw his sister look around the yard in confusion "Where'd he go" she said. Danny laughed and took off into the streets. Many older people gave him a stare but he was brave. Danny then started walking away from the house so his sister wouldn't find him.
After a while he started to grow fearful as his surroundings became unfamiliar. Everything looked so big and strange to him. Frightened he started to run as fast as his toddler legs would carry him. He lost track on where he was running and suddenly found himself in some trees.
He looked around in fear at the dark trees around him "Mommy?" he called. Danny shook and walked forward. After a minute or so he heard a snap "Mommy?" he called out fearfully. Suddenly he saw big golden eyes in the woods "Your not mommy!" he called before taking off.
Behind him he could hear the monster chasing after him. Suddenly he tripped and fell on the ground, scraping his knees. He burst out crying "Don't eat me!" he cried. Suddenly something warm brushed his cheek and his eyes snapped open.
He saw a black wolf staring at him "Ah, it's the wolf the ate Little Wed Widing Hood!" he cried out. The wolf seemed to chuckled evilly Relax little one, I am a friend it said. Danny looked happily at the wolf "Talking puppy!" he shouted before running up to hug the startled wolf.
The wolf nudged Danny Are you lost? it asked. Danny started crying "I can't find mommy and now I'm hurt!" he cried. The wolf gently licked his hurt knee and Danny sniffed "Can you help me find mommy?" he asked tearfully.
The wolf smiled and laid down Get on my back, I will take you to your mother she said. Danny happily obliged. The wolf then took off with Danny riding her like a horsy. This time when he looked around everything seemed brighter "Are you the wolf from Little Wed Widing Hood?" he asked.
The wolf let out a small bark No, I am a nice wolf she said. Danny smiled "So will you be my fwend?" he asked happily. The wolf stopped in surprise and a small growl came from her throat Of course she said gently.
Danny laughed happily as they took off again "My name is Danny, what's yours?" he asked. The wolf dodged a tree Sasha she answered. Danny looked thoughtful "Sasha, that's a pwetty name, weminds me of my sister" he said.
The wolf stayed silent "Her name is Jazz, and she's weally fun!" he said. At this the wolf chuckled. Finally she ran out of the trees into the light from the town. Danny shook in fear as strange men ran around calling his name.
suddenly he saw his mommy and Sasha allowed him to get off. She took a few steps back into the woods to stay hidden "Mommy!" Danny cried. His mom turned and looked in relief at the young boy running towards her "Oh Danny, where have you been?" she scolded.
Danny smiled "I got wost in the woods but Sasha saved me, she's a wolf but not the one from Little Wed Widing Hood" he said. Maddie looked skeptically towards the trees and saw nothing "I'm sure she did, but right now how would you like to go home, I can make you some pudding" she said.
Danny's face lit up "I wove pudding, is it chocwate?" he asked. Maddie chuckled and carried her son home while the other men stopped searching, seeing Danny safe. Meanwhile Sasha watched in peaceful content I wonder if he'll always be my friend she thought before running back into the woods…
