Take My Will Away
O heart,
O soul of mine!
Who captured my feet
And sent me upon this path!
Treacherous feelings,
Friend and foe alike!
One moment comforting
The next damning!
Stars strewn above
Gleaming down from on high,
Can never tell me
Of life's revelation.
My lover,
My friend.
Companion,
And rival.
Who but you,
Could ever do
To me the things
That take my will away?
