Erin was watching television, but she wasn't really there with her mind. She was thinking about the day she had at work. They arrested a bunch of drug dealers but they had to use their guns, and it hadn't gone very smoothly. But that wasn't really what she was thinking about. She was thinking about Jay, and how often he got so close to her and asking if she was okay, like he had a crush on her or something.
Was she wrong by thinking that? Did he have a crush on her? Or did she maybe feel the same about Jay? He has beautiful eyes, Erin admitted. And his lips, she has thought about that a lot of times actually, she recalled. What was wrong with her? Did she have a crush on him? She did not fall in love easily, and especially not with co-workers. Why now, and was she actually in love? She felt her heart flutter a bit, while she kept thinking about him. Maybe she should listen to her heart a little more when it got to romance, she told herself.
Erin looked at the clock, 9:45 pm it read. It was still too early to go to bed for her, but she was now fully awake. Was she really going to do the thing that was going through her mind right now?
Eventually she stood up and walked upstairs to change her clothes, she wanted to go to his place, she decided. He always had the ability to make her relax after a long day of work. She grabbed her car keys and walked out of the door to her car and drove to his place. When she walked up to his apartment, she was regretting the choice to come his place. As she was turning around to go home, the door opened and Jay stood on his doorstep.
'Hey Erin, what are you doing here?' Shit, Erin thought by herself, she wanted to run away, but now she was just looking like an idiot for coming here. 'Well, I wanted to ask you something, but I just remembered I have it at my house, sorry for interrupting, you obviously have somewhere else to go' Erin rambled, something very unusual for her.
'Oh no, I wasn't going anywhere, well I actually was going to someone, but she is now standing right in front of me'. What? Jay was coming to her place, why?
'Why would you come to my place?' Erin asked as he took a deep breath before replying. 'Well, there is this thing I wanted to tell her for a long time' he spoke, before continuing 'and I am afraid to tell her, but I must tell her now, or I will regret it for the rest of my life'. He came a little bit closer to her, and he cupped her face with his hands. 'I'm in love with you, Erin'. Erin stood completely frozen. Was this really happening now? Just when she was about to tell him she felt something for him too?
'Why where you really here, Erin?' He asked her softly, still cupping her face with his soft and warm hands, while she still stood frozen. 'Well, I was about to tell you the same thing' she told him, almost whispering.
And in that moment, it got real for her. Her stomach was full of butterflies as Jay moved his head closer to hers. And then, suddenly he was kissing her, his warm and soft lips against hers. And she kissed him back, as passionately as it possible could be. He pressed her against his door and opened it, moving her inside his apartment.
While kissing passionately they moved to his bedroom, losing clothes along the way, plunging down on the bed, while she stopped kissing him. What the hell am I doing? she thought by herself, suddenly realizing she was in his bed. Jay looked at her, worry visible on his face.
'Did I do something wrong?' he asked. 'No! I mean, I love you, but aren't we moving a little bit too fast?' Erin asked Jay. 'Do you want to stop?' 'Oh god no! I..' and she pressed her lips against his, rolling him on his back, so she was on top of him now.
'I love you too', she whispered in his ears. Now it was her time to crash her lips against his.
