Shen's eyes snagged on something. It couldn't be...could it? He stared his mouth open. It was! A peahen and quite a lovely one at that. She had deep tones of dark purple and gold with hints of silver around her neck and tail tip. She was putting her extra clothes in a basket after letting them dry in the sun. And that's when she looked up. Shen didn't move. He didn't know what to do. He tried to tell himself he was just in shock after seeing peafowl after such a long. But something stirred deep inside him as he gazed at this female.
Luli rung out her clean clothes and noticed a splotch of white in the courner of her eye as she folded her shirts down in the basket. She lifted her head and blinked she must be seeing things. It was a Peacock. But what was so stricking was his color. White pure white. She was so suprised and taken by him that it took her a moment to realize who this was. "Lord Shen!" She instantly put down her basket and bowed before the great peacock. She shivered though she couldn't tell if it was from fear or excitement. "I aplogize ma'am." he said in a soft silken voice "for suprising you." and he bowed his head and turned away. "Wait!" He paused She swallowed "I'm sorry my Lord, it's just you are the first Peacock I've seen in quite some time." she admited smiling. He returned it and Luli's heart melted at the sweet grin on his face, it looked like a child but the adult like intelligence in his eyes inthralled her. "I would have to say the same thing." He responded in that wonderful soft voice. Luli wanted him to stay just a little longer just being near other Peafowl made her feel better. "I'm glad you are here with us my Lord Shen. You are doing well for us." He was speechless for a moment. "Thank you." he said "May I ask your name my dear?" Her heart jumped he was curious about her? No. She told herself, I am enguaging a conversation with him it's normal for him to want to know my name. "Luli." His beak parted a moment. "Lovely." he whispered. "Shen! What's so interesting-" Po stumbled in on them.
Shen cast a glance at the clumbsy panda. "Oooohh." he said when he spotted Luli. "Sorry I didn't mean to intrude on your date buddy." Shen narrowed his eyes at the panda. "I was merely asking the ladies name." "Oh, so your going to ask her out? That's great!" Po giving Shen a heavy pat on his back that forced him forward a step closer to Luli. "Hey little lady you just come right on up to dinner with us tonight!" Well, that was ruined. Shen let out a sigh. But she took one tentative step closer and he stared at her wondering what was going on in her head. "I would certinly come." she whispered softly. "That is, if Lord Shen truely wishes." Shen was caught off guard. But what would he say? No? So, he bowed before her extending a wing. "Ladies first." He gave her a guinie smile that she actually accepted.
