I know I haven't written in a while! Sooorry I've had a bit of writers block! But here's a short one shot on Ron and his feelings for Hermione! I based it on a quote from Half Blood Prince! Page 449-450 in the US version! ENJOY(:
"Ah no!"said Ron, staring horror-struck at the parchment. "Don't say I'll have to write the whole thing out again!" It's okay, we can fix it," said Hermione, pulling the essay toward her and taking out her wand. "I love you, Hermione," said Ron, sinking back in his chair, rubbing his eyes wearily. Hermione turned faintly pink, but merely said, "Don't let Lavender hear you saying that." "I won't," said Ron into his hands. "Or maybe I will…then she'll ditch me…" "Why don't you ditch her if you want to finish it?" asked Harry. "You haven't even chucked anyone, have you?" said Ron. "You and Cho just-" "Sort of fell apart, yeah," said Harry. "Wish that would happen with me and Lavender," said Ron gloomily, watching Hermione silently tapping each of his misspelled words with the end of her wand, so that they corrected themselves on the page. "But the more I hint I want to finish it, the tighter she holds on. It's like going out with the giant squid."
As Hermione was fixing his essay, Ron stayed there with his eyes closed thinking about what had just happened.
'I don't get it, it obvious she doesn't like Lavender, yet she makes it a point to tell me to make sure she doesn't hear what I just said' Ron thought. He opened his eyes and gazed secretly at the brunette sitting on the floor in front of the coffee table.
'She's probably just being a good friend. She doesn't want me to get in trouble with Lavender. Or maybe she likes me and can't wait for me to break up with her! No no she's defiantly just being nice.'
Ron sighed. He looked at Harry who was giving him a knowing look. Ron rolled his eyes at Harry, before closing his eyes again.
'But then again.. why would she not like Lavender? I mean they've never been best friends but there's no reason to hate her! And to avoid her whenever she's with me. She's never done this with any girl that Harry's dated! She must like me!' Ron smiled and looked once more at Hermione who was still trying to fix his essay, her lips poised in a slight frown.
'Then again why would she like me? A Weasley. She deserves much better. Especially after the way I've treated her. But then why hasn't she gotten with anyone yet? Of course there was Krum but he doesn't count. And he was absolutely positive that she had no real feeling for McLaggen.' Ron looked around the room. He saw Seamus and Dean playing exploding snap at one of the tables. He knew that both of them had had a small crush on Hermione at one point in time!
'I wonder if they still have any feeling left for her' He thought. 'Bloody hell they better not! Hermione's mine! They have no right to come ruin our relationship! Relationship? What relationship?' Ron looked back at Hermione.
'I probably ruined all my chances at a relationship with her when I got with Lavender. She has to feel something for me though! She just has too! I know I'm not the best with girls and their feelings but I know I'm right this time! I have to be…Okay, I've made up my mind! I'm going to do it! I'm going to tell her how I feel! But first I've got to get rid of Lavender…"
"There," said Hermione, some twenty minutes later, handing back Ron's essay. "Thanks a million," said Ron. "Can I borrow your quill for the conclusion?"
