"But Juvia loves you!" the girl pleaded with an irritated- looking Gray. He had just lost a practice fight to Lucy and Loke the other day and was already in a bad mood. Most people would have stayed clear of the ice mage, but Juvia was either too clueless or too obsessed not to speak to him that day. Lucy shook her head at her friend's antics.

"Juvia, enough." Gray stated, suddenly looking a lot more intimidating than usual. Lucy could swear she saw money change hands in the corner where the Thunder Legion was clustered with Laxus and Elfman.

Lucy couldn't help but think to herself that Gray looked like a thunderstorm; dark, stormy and angry enough to cover all of Fiore with an eternal winter. She started taking notes. Some instinct told her the scene ahead might be good inspiration when she was writing her novel.

"I have had enough of your obsessiveness Juvia!" Gray thundered. "I kept thinking that if I gave no response to your desperate attempts to woo me that you would eventually give up! Since that's not the case, I'm just going to come out and say it. I have never been, and will never be at all interested you in any way other than as a teammate and fellow member of Fairy Tail." Silence descended after the statement, but the mage was far from finished his declarations.

"I can never be interested in you because for years I have been madly, desperately in love with… NATSU!"

If the guild hall had been quiet after Juvia's telling-off it was nothing compared to this. The only sound in the place was the steady chomping coming from the seat beside Lucy as Natsu continued eating obliviously.

"HELL YES! PAY UP FREED!" Laxus shouted, Grinning and holding his hand out to his silent friend.

Just like that, Fairy Tail's usual chatter resumed. Lucy however was till in a state of shock. Only this morning, she had decided to ask Natsu out; to see if he wanted to try and be more than simply partners. There was only one thing to do. Lucy turned to the pink-haired boy himself and readied herself to ask the question that she could not get out of her mind.

"And how about you Natsu? What are your feelings for Gray?" Lucy managed to mumble out.

"Wait. I didn't tell you?" Natsu responded, his black eyes staring into hers with the utmost innocence. "We're getting married in a month."

In retrospect, Lucy should have seen it coming. After all, how many straight guys had an obsession with scarves and pink hair?
