"Azarath… Metrion… Zinthos…"

Breath.

CRASH!

The sound of a dish colliding with the tiles of the kitchen snapped Raven out of her peaceful state of mind, followed by a high pitched yelp from someone. Considering the noise was to masculine for Starfire, but too feminine for any other male in the Tower, Raven guessed the sound had come from Beast Boy.

She let her mind relax, the dark energy she used for levitation vanishing. Raven gracefully fell to her feet. Turning on her heel, she noticed her assumption was correct. Beast Boy was pressing a kitchen towel to his hand, though she could still make out the contrast of red blood against his green skin.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" he whined, hopping up and down, clutching his injured hand. Being an Empath, Raven could sense the pain BB was feeling, but decided to do nothing to help. She simply floated out of the room and down the dark hallway to her room where she could meditate in peace. A tiny pang of guilt formed in her consciousness, but like every other time she had the chance to help the annoying green kid, she ignored it.

With thin pale fingers, Raven typed the 6 digit passcode to enter her room. Tiny thin scars trailed along her hands, constant reminders of the battles that filled her life. Each white mark held a memory, most of which weren't very pleasant. She heard a quiet beep, and the door to her room slid open.

Raven's walls are black, but have a slight tint of purple to them that nobody really notices. An enormous book case covers on entire wall, considering one thing Raven loves to do is read. Each book is different, and none ever fail to interest the dark mysterious girl. On another wall, posters ranging from her favourite author, to black cats hang. Her single bed is pushed against the wall with the posters, and covered in a dark blue duvet, the matching pillows neatly fluffed at the top.

Raven plucked a random book out of her huge collection, and flopped down onto her comfy bed. Just as she was turning the first page, a loud knock at the door made her sigh in frustration. "What?" she snapped at whoever was ruining her peace yet again. "I-Um… Just wanted to, uh…" The unmistakeable stuttering of Beast Boy echoed into Raven's room. "What do you want Beast Boy?" Raven said, annoyed once again it was him who shattered her concentration. Then again, when wasn't it him?

"I just wanted to know if you had a Band-Aid…?" He asked quietly. Raven could hear the shuffling of his feet outside her door, and could feel his fear and pain once again. That stupid pang of sympathy shot through her again, but she didn't ignore it that time. She dropped her book onto her bed, and stood up. Raven shuffled over to her dresser, and pulled open a black wooden drawer. Seeing a box of bandages, she grabbed it and headed towards her door.

Raven cracked open the sliding door a bit, and tossed the box out to Beast Boy. "T-thanks." He said, while unwrapping the tea-towel and taking out a proper bandage. As he pulled it around his finger, Raven could sense it was hurting a lot. She decided she gave her fair share of kindness for the day and quickly shut the door again.
