Lies
A House Fanfic.
Set roughly end of season six.
In life, there are three types of lies.
There are white lies. These are the little lies you tell to avoid trouble with your parents. Cheating on a test. Avoiding arguments with significant others. The list goes on and on, for white lies are the most common types of lies.
Then there are black lies. These are far more serious, but occur just as often as white lies. Black lies are the lies you tell to avoid arrest. To avoid divorce. To avoid death. To avoid any matter of horrid things that can happen to a person.
Last but not least, there are red lies. Red lies are the worst of them all. Because red lies are the lies we tell ourselves so that we can continue our lives in relative ignorance. To avoid guilt, or stress. These lies are the most dangerous because in deluding ourselves, we place pink glasses over our eyes and ignore the obvious: we cannot continue this way forever.
