Chapter 1
One day in Dillon Texas Rory is playing outside in the new fall crisp leaves with her son when a tall handsome football player guy with long hair walks into the yard.
''Um Hi may uh I help you?'' Rory asks him
''no just saw you guys playing and having fun in the leaves and thought I would introduce myself Hi I'm Tim Riggens.'' Tim Introduces himself
''Hi. [silence] Oh, Rory. Me. That's - that's me.'' Rory tells him awkwardly
''Rory.'' Tim says
''Well, Lorelai technically.'' Rory tells him
''Lorelai. I like that.'' Tim says
''It's my mother's name, too. She named me after herself. She was lying in the hospital thinking about how men name boys after themselves all the time, you know, so why couldn't women? She says her feminism just kind of took over. Though personally I think a lot of Demerol also went into that decision. I never talk this much.'' Rory tells him a little embarrassed at herself
Tim laughs ''that's alright.'' Tim says and looks at Rory's son then back at her
''oh this is Lucas Junior Huntzberger my son.'' Rory introduces him
Tim bends down to him ''hey buddy I'm Tim.'' Tim introduces himself
Lucas gets shy and clings to Rory's leg.
Rory smiles 'okay buddy.'' Rory tells him and puts her hand on his head softly then picks him up and puts him on her side
''so you have a son?'' Tim asks her
''yup.'' Rory tells him
''you don't even look old enough to have a kid.'' Tim tell sher
''oh well thanks a lot I get that a lot.'' Rory tells him
''so um where's his dad?'' Tim asks her
''oh um we're divorced.''Rory tells him
''oh well I'm sorry about that.'' Tim says
Rory just shrugs ''it's okay it was good while it lasted even though is was only a year.'' Rory tells him
''oh so are you new here to Dillon?'' Tim asks her
''oh um yea we are we only just moved here like 2 months ago from Palo Alto.'' Rory tells him
''what about you?'' Rory asks him
''born and raised here.'' Tim tells her
''oh that's cool I'm also from a small town called Stars Hollow it's a small little town in Connecticut that I bet nobody here has even ever heard of.'' Rory tells him
''oh.'' Tim says and nods
