Before the death of L, precautions were taken to insure future successors. Through vitro fertilization (IVF)- also known as a "test tube baby"- the sperm of L was combined with egg cells of multiple women all over the world. (Needless to say they weren't just ordinary women.) That's how I, and many others, were born... created to be exact.
Most of us didn't have a chance to meet our "father" before his death, or were much too young to remember. Our mother's identities are also kept hidden, for attachment issues I presume when our only reason for even being alive, our only purpose, is to continue in the footsteps of L.
That's what they assumed we would do and what we wanted to fulfill.
They were wrong.
L may be my father, but I make choose my own path to justice.
I will continue the legend of my God, Kira.
A/N: I've had this idea in my head for such a long time so please tell me what you think. I originally wanted this to be a continued story, but I'm finding it difficult to develop the story deeper. Hopefully in the future I can continue it, but for now, this is a one shot.
