The moon glistened brightly as snowflakes fell like dust from the sky, leaving the woods completely silent other than the synchronized footsteps of the couple that walked hand in hand. He would occasionally shift his eyes to glance at her, but quickly look away in fear she would notice and accuse him of staring. He would have loved to stare at her, though. Stare into her breathtakingly bright eyes, that now
reflected the light of the moon in a way that left him completely breathless. trying to shake away the thoughts of her utter perfection, he let out a sigh, managing to catch her attention.
"What?" She asked with a smirk. He shuddered, but not enough for her to notice. When answering her question, he relent from turning to face her, to ensure she wouldn't take notice of just how flustered he was.
"Nothing." he answered simply, beginning to drag his feet a bit against the dusty layer of snow that coated the dirt. Naturally, he could tell what she was thinking. and he knew she wasn't going to take 'nothing' for an answer. He scrunched his nose.
"Takeda."
"Yes?"
She stopped him, dropping his hand to cross her arms as she faced him with an expression that he didn't need to read her mind to decipher. 'Tell me or I'll kick your ass.' And he knew she would.
"Fine."
"So?"
"I was just thinking about how beautiful you look right now. Nothing you haven't heard before." He smiled nervously, placing a hand on the back of his head. She raised an eyebrow and narrowed her eyes. Then, she laughed.
"You're such a dork, you know that?" She said sarcastically, punching his shoulder lightly before returning to his side. He smiled his adorable goofy smile, draping an arm over her shoulders as they continued to walk once again.
"I know."
Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed my lame little drabble.
I also hope I didn't butcher the characters too much n
