Rae pov

We were going on a field trip to a swimming pool. Liz wasn't here so she wasn't going, Tori was depressed because Liz wasn't here, Derek wasn't aloud to leave Lyle house and Chloe didn't have a bathing suit and didn't want to bother aunt so look like its just me and the diva. Whoopee! (When Rae refers to the "diva" she means Simon). I had on my black bikini with red flames (ironic I'm in this dump because of fire) under my jean shorts and black tank top with my tan heels because I didn't have flip flops. We got to ride in Dr. Gill's Suburban. It was top of the line! Cashmere seats and 4 Tv's it was sweet! I played ledgend of Zelda on the PS2 while Simon stared out the window in the seat in front of me. When we got there I took off my clothes and cannon balled in. It was an Olympic sized pool but I could barley dog paddle so I stayed in the shallow end. Simon took off his shirt and I was surprised to see he was really muscular. He dove in the deepest part of the pool and started swimming laps completely ignoring I was there. Huh this'll be LOTS of fun! I was sitting in the water relaxing when a blanket of fog covered the top of the water. I looked around to find Simon looking at the fog puzzled like me.

"What do you think it is?"

He looked up and the fog disappeared.

"That was weird wasn't it?"

"What was weird?"

He continued swimming. What the hell was that? Oh well like I said boring field trip. I decided to practice swimming so I paddled around and kept failing. I just realized how much I hated water. I got out and dried off then went inside to the food stand. I didn't have any money but said I could have some money to buy something so I went to look at the menu. It was freezing inside! The menu said they had the usual fast food stuff so I got a hot dog. I payed for it and got ketchup and relish and went to eat it. I sat down at a table and bit into it.

"YUCK!" I spit it out.

"You call this shit a hot dog pllllleeeeeaaaazzzeee! More like a cold dog."

This day day was just getting worse and worse I was so mad! I looked down disgusted at my hot dog and saw my hands glowing a bright red. I dropped my hot dog and put my hand on my arm.

"Ouch it burned me!"

My hands were burning hot I ran to the pool and when my hands touched the water the water started boiling. Damn it! Why are my hands so hot?! I saw Simon staring at me.

"What is this? A figment of my imagination too?"

He shrugged.

"Oh Jesus Christ can you at least help me!"

"How?"

"I don't know!"

"How did this happen?"

"I got mad and saw my hands burning and got pissed and now I'm completely freaked out!"

"Well then there's your problem just calm down!"

"Calm down!? Easy for you to say your hands aren't burning up or glowing are they?"

"No but about an hour ago fog was comming out of them."

"Oh."

"Yeah so just calm down and take deep breaths."

I blocked out everything around me and concentrated on breathing in and out.

"Good... See I told you you could do it."

I opened my eyes and looked down to see my hands were normal and the water wasn't boiling. Just in time too because Dr. Gill was coming around the corner.

"Kids lets go!"

We got our towels and our clothes and headed to the car. We climbed in both of us in the back seat.

"I know you probably want to tell Derek about this but I don't think that's a good idea."

"Why?"

"I know you guys are as close as real brothers but what happened was really weird and Chloe is like my sister and I'm not going to tell her."

"Oh so you met Chloe not even a week ago and now your like sisters?"

"Shut up."

"Fine!"

"You aren't gonna tell them are you?"

"No!"

"Ok then."

And with that we rode the rest of the way back to Lyle house in silence.
