S/N- This is going to be based pretty loosely on CHW. Well, at least I hope it will. Some of the lines in that movie are beyond priceless, so they will be included, and the character list is basically the same. I really hope this turns out okay and that you all like it!
One more thing- I shamelessly kleptoed the reason the kids have nicknames from Keza from her story NHS. (which you should definitely go read if you haven't… although I think everyone in the world is already hooked on it…) I'm giving full credit to her, but if she really cares, I will change it. This should be in the disclaimer, shouldn't it?
Final Chance
Graduation day shone bright and sunny; there was hardly a cloud in the sky, making for perfect weather to hold the ceremony outdoors on Horace Greeley High School's prized football field. Clad in their sophisticated robes, the graduating class took up much of the field, while the proud parents sat in the bleachers, the mothers' eyes shining with tears of pride and happiness. Up on the portable stage, Principal Snyder was where he had been for the past twenty minutes reading the same speech.
It was a beautiful, controlled, and mature graduation. At least it seemed like that.
Unseen by the parents, teachers, and Snyder, conversations were flying between those seated on the football field.
"So, you hear about the party tonight?" Pie-eater nudged Ali, who had pushed her robe aside and was sunbathing in a sparkly pink bikini top.
"Yeah! It's supposed to be wild!" Ali answered, opening her eyes.
"Do you know whose it is?"
"Ummm… I think it's that girl in our English class. You know," she continued at Pie's confused glance, "the one with the thighs…"
"Oh my God!" Skittles, a few seats in front of Ali, cried to Klutz. "Did you hear that Mush Myers is naked under his robes?"
"Naked?" Klutz's eyes grew wide.
"Completely!" Skittles squealed.
"Y-you mean as in with nothing on?"
"Uh huh!"
"Hey, are you going to the party?" Entity asked Spirit, a few seats away from the two who were busy picturing Mush naked.
"Yeah," Spirit nodded, "I think I'm going to ask Jack Kelly if he wants to go."
"You're insane if you think he's ever going to leave Sarah Jacobs' side."
"You didn't hear? Jack dumped Sarah!" Spirit said in a hushed whisper.
"No way! They've been together since freshman year! When did this happen?"
"Last night. I heard from Cocky who heard from Bumlets, who was told by Jack himself!"
"Then it has to be true!" Entity said a little too loudly.
"Jack dumped Sarah?" Mix leaned over the guy sleeping between her and Entity to join the conversation.
"I heard he dumped her because she was cheating on him with Swifty- that foreign exchange student!" Brink turned around in her seat.
"Really? I heard that he cheated on her with Misprint!" Spirit said, wrinkling her nose.
"Ew!" Brink cried.
"Wait…who?" Gambler asked from behind Mix.
"This girl in my calc class," Brink said.
"I didn't even know there was a Misprint in our school!" Entity said.
"She went out with Skittery years ago," Spirit explained.
"Ugh! No way!" Brink looked disgusted.
"Way! I know, he's so cute and she's so…"
"Wait, is she the one who's throwing the party?" Gambler questioned.
"No, that girl's in my gym class, she's the one with the eyebrows," Mix said.
"This party's gonna be totally chill," Spirit declared. "Everyone's gonna be there!"
"Too bad some people have to change for it…" ABC sighed, sneaking over to join the group.
"What do you mean?" Entity asked.
"Mush Myers is ass naked under his robes!"
"Really?" Mix craned her neck to try and catch a glimpse of Mush in the crowd and sat down dejectedly when she couldn't find him.
"Hey Skitts, did you hear about that party tonight?" Nevada asked, a ways away from the other girls.
"Yeah, heard all about it."
"Okay, did you hear that Mush Myers is naked under his robe?"
"Yeah, heard that too," Skittery told her, avoiding glancing in Mush's direction, should he see more than he want to.
Nevada sighed at not knowing anything Skittery hadn't heard yet, "then you probably heard about Jack dumping Sarah."
This caught his attention, "WHAT?"
But Nevada didn't hear him, because Snyder had finally finished his speech and announced the graduating class of 2003.
