Diminish
The sorrow of the world flows with the whispers of the wind.
The tears of countless millions dye the above world azure.
The soft, gentle clouds wipe away the tears that they can.
The girl with porcelain skin and two teal ponytails rests on her white balcony. Her ivory dress flutters and dances around her knees. Her eyes gaze longingly to the endless sky of unhindered azure.
The screech of tires disturbs the peace of birdsong and whispering breezes. Raucous laughter resounds. A car passes. The world of tranquillity shatters.
The girl opens her fluttering eyes. They gaze with awe at the light sky. She rises faintly. The tendrils of her silken locks wrap around her shoulders comfortingly. A smile blooms, flourishing with the flight of a singing bird.
A sigh whispers at the edge of her lips. From the sky falls sorrow. The single, solitary drop caresses the edge of her eye. She blinks slowly. She rests against her seat. Her eyes unwillingly struggle to remain open. Drowsiness caresses her consciousness. Her eyes hold fast to the darkness.
The voice in the distance grows. The sole voice amongst many resonates. It echoes in her ears.
She slowly stirs.
The azure world of sorrow embraces her heart.
She glances to the unknowing royal head of blue.
The world of sorrow deepens.
The sky grows dark.
Author's Note: I was looking for the third part of Synchronicity. Of course, that was futile. I can't watch it. However, one of the other videos was by Hatsune Miku. It is called 'You and the World'. I saw the image and the urge to write came and so swiftly carried me away to the bliss of easy writing. I wrote this all in approximately twenty two minutes!
I began without listening to the song, but I knew what I was doing was wrong. I started the music then. That was when I turned the first three sentences into a single paragraph and put those three lines in place. I haven't seen the lyrics yet. I didn't want the inspiration that I had to be tainted.
I suppose that's why I couldn't watch Synchronicity…
I thank you for reading my piece. I do hope that you have enjoyed my writing. I apologise wholeheartedly if you have been disappointed by the quality, style and story.
