The Return of Atlantis
Part I
Prologue
1470, B.C.E
The Minoan seas churned violently around the island city. Thunder and lightning flash in the skies above, casting eerie shadows and causing fear to rise in the citizens of the city. As the waves get higher, the people start to panic. To make matters worse, the city itself is beginning to sink into the sea. However, there are two people that are completely calm. They are the Lady of Atlantis, and her dear friend, Firat. |
Ravena, as she is also known, has a wisdom that goes far beyond her years. Her eyes are her most noticeable feature, a light shade of violet, rimmed in hazel. (Lighting can change the rim color from blue to green.) Her senses are sharper then most, being able to pick up even the slightest chance of any kind. She has an average, yet lithe, build, considering she is fairly tall at 5'6. Her long, wavy deep brown hair cascades down her back, with tinges of deep purple streaking throughout its lenghth.
Firat, on the other hand, who also has rather lithe frame, stands at a rather astounding 6'0. His hair a rather light brown, almost rusty, his eyes pools of deep brown that one could get lost in. His senses are nearly as sharp as hers are. She and Firat had been close friends ever since they were children. They always looked out for each other.
They are working together to get everyone to higher ground. Then, out of nowhere, the island city shakes violently. The city begins to sink faster and faster. The sea is now waist deep, and continuing to rise. It is now that Firat decides to do the one thing he promised he would never do. He stops the Lady stop what she is doing to give a hug for the last time. She is left to wonder why he suddenly hugged her as he walks away.
They managed to everyone to the highest point in the city. Then, just as the water reaches them, a miracle happens. An ethereal flash of aqua and violet floods the city, dispersing the water and enveloping it just as begins to plunge into darkness. Afterwards, when the Lady went to find Firat, she was filled with dread when she found him, barely breathing, and near death.
He dies in her arms, then vanishes.
