This poem is about Dick recalling what happened between Bruce and him.
MEMORIES
What had happened
Between you and I?
Both of us have lived
Too long in our lies
Once a man
Who adopted me
When my parents
Were killed brutally
You took me in
And trained me to be best
So when I grow up
My parents would be avenged
After I did that
We slowly grew apart
Unspoken reasons
I knew not what
You gave me a reason
That your love has died
I did not believe you
And knew you had lied
Alfred told me
That you were mad
And couldn't forgive me
For leaving the nest
I couldn't understand
Convinced you didn't love me
Until our reconciliation
Which knocked sense into me
I am truly sorry
I can't put it better
That I have hurt you
The father of my letter
