Wrote it December 16, 2007 during our church service—the sermon on Jehovah Nissi, The LORD is Our Banner. Plus it was our choir concert, so the "babe" part was inspired by their Christmas songs. Took me around…meh, maybe ten minutes altogether? Pretty quick little poem, but hopefully the message sears itself into your brains.

Jehovah Nissi:
The LORD is our banner.
He inspires us,
He's our strength and power.

He came as a babe
And grew up like us.
He did miracles and then
Died on a cross for us.

He's the One we look to,
He's the One who gives us hope.
Whatever our battle,
Jehovah is there to help us cope.

Never will He leave us,
Never will He us forsake.
He's always nearby
Our sins to take.

Jehovah Nissi—our banner,
The One who's always here.
Whether a struggle or a battle,
He's there to take away our fear.

Yep. There you have it. Ninety-eight words (Whoa, just like Jehovah!) in around ten minutes about Jehovah Nissi, our banner.
