Dangerous Love

She stands and trembles and almost falls,

her heart threatens to stop as backwards she crawls.

Her love stalks foreword with sharp curled claws,

he growls and howls as he swipes with his paws.

He sees his love through dark red eyes,

but can not feel the fear that flies.

Her fear that he promised she'd never feel,

the pain that rains the fear that is real.

He swipes once more and claws her side,

her tears that shed she can not hide.

She falls and crawls to a nearby tree,

the pain the rain the fear he sees.

She sees him transform and walk to the tree,

he lets all his pain his tears set free.

He kneels beside her and strokes her hair,

she smiles and his heart melts for his lady fair.

As she bleeds he holds his love,

beautiful as the graceful dove.

He cries she cries but whispers her love,

dangerous love that killed the sweet dove.

She watches him now from home on high,

and wishes that she did not die.

Her dangerous love that weeps for her,

she gently comforts by stroking his fur.

Dangerous love that killed the dove,

weeps no more for his love.

'Fore now he lies by her side,

together in peace as on the wind they ride.

He swipes once more and claws her side,

her tears that shed she can not hide.

As she bleeds he holds his love,

beautiful as the graceful dove.

Finally together I peace as on the wind they ride.

Her dangerous love that killed the dove,

weeps no more for his only love.
