Sands of Time

DISCLAIMER Nothing but the poem is mine. Feed back is very, very much appreciated! (hint, hint)
Run short have our sands of time
A harsh reminder of mortality
Like a bitter winter storm over the land
But spring must inevitably come
Bringing with it life renewed
So, too, we will live again
The hourglass will turn once more
And we will be together
As we are meant to be
Time and again
Our souls are one and the same
For alone, we are searching
But together we are fulfilled
We are bound by something greater
Than time or even death
And our sands of time will flow again
