I don't own any of the characters in here. I decided to write something for Valentines Day.

Valentine to Remember

The sun was high in the sky, the weather was perfect, and it was one of the greatest times of the year.

Valentines Day

For one certain little Hedgehog, this was the day she had been waiting for all year.

Amy Rose could be seen in the park looking for her blue hero, and as she says 'future husband'. Sonic could have been any where in the city, or the world for that matter, but Amy was convinced that he would be here in the park.

"Oh a hope Sonic shows up." She sighed.

She shook her head to get rid of the doubt that plagued her mind. Of course he will show up, after all she had given him a few hints that the day of love was close at hand. Its not like he would forget, would he?

The hours seemed to pass and still no sign of him, just other happy couples handing hands, exchanging gifts… and kissing. The doubt grew more as the sun started to set.

Finally figuring that he wasn't coming, she sighed and started to walk home alone… with no valentine. Her head was down as she walked, and she ended up bumping into another figure.

"I'm sorry, I was… Shadow!" Indeed it was. Shadow stood before her with his arms behind his back, and a neutral expression on his face.

"Amy, you seem to be upset. Is it because of that faker?" He said without a hint of emotion in his voice.

"His name is Sonic, and well… yes. You see, today's Valentines Day and he doesn't seem to be here. I mean doesn't even look like he made the effort to even find me."

"Did you ever consider that he only likes you as a friend?"

"No!... I mean Sonics just forgetful and shy. But just you wait one day! Sonics going to confess his love to me!"

"So you are saying that nothing will keep will from making Sonic yours."

"That's right!"

For just a moment she thought she say some other kind of emotion in his eyes. Was it a flash of disappointment? Anger?

"Whatever, do what you like. I just came to give you this." From behind his back he handed to her a rose with a card tied to it.

She gasped as she looked down on at, but as soon as she lifted her head to question him, he was gone. She looked down on the gift he had presented her, and untied the card to look at it. There was a picture of a little heart on the cover and as she opened it, there it was in his own handwriting, 'Be my rose on this special day'.

She walked home that day with a rose, a card, and a new Valentine.

"One day I'll return the favor."
