Summary: A oneshot about Aya's life before Capell's return. Aya's POV.

It had been two years since the events on the moon.

Such a short time yet so much had changed since then…

She often reflected upon the journey to liberate the moon.

Those were without a doubt the best and also the hardest days of her life and she came out of it stronger than she had ever been or even hoped to be. She met some very interesting people, made new friends, travelled the whole world over and even fell in love. However she lost her father, who she wasn't very close to but he had only just started to accept their journey, the loss was especially painful because of that.

To make matters worse when she returned her mother had fallen into a deep slumber, as did any and all other aristos, and had not yet risen from her sleep. That also had for consequence her ascension to the throne as the rightful queen of Fayel.

Her newfound duties kept her busy of course but every night before she fell asleep she would think and the more she thought the more she blamed herself.

She blamed herself for her mother's coma, since the reason all the aristos collapsed was the killing of Veros by her and her companions.

She blamed herself for her father's death; he died to protect her from Saranda's attack. She couldn't even begin to describe her hatred.

Most of all however, she blamed herself for Capell's disappearance. If only she hadn't pushed him into all of that! If she had just let him do as he pleased he would still be alive and well, living happily as a minstrel somewhere!

She knew he didn't want to fight but she pushed him into it. It was her fault, all of it!

"It's not your fault Aya." The familiar voice sounded as though coming out of the horizon.

"Huh?" She looked around to try and determine the source of the voice.

She thought she heard Capell just then…

"I guess I'm just hearing things…I should go to bed now."

So acting on her words, she lay in her bed and let her dreams carry her away from her worries and responsibilities, hoping to see Capell again.

Little did she know that by the end of the next day she would see him again.

"Sweet dreams Aya." The same voice as before said.

And at this the young queen smiled.
