Renesmee and Alice are looking through Edward and Bella's wedding photos.
"Aunty Alice, why is Mommy wearing white?" Renesmee asks, wondering about Bella's white wedding dress.
Alice is not sure how to answer this, so she decides to just make up something that's easy to understand if you're a small half-vampire. "Well honey," she says, hoping Renesmee will buy this, "Your mommy's wearing white because white is a happy color, and getting married to your daddy was the happiest day of her life."
"Oh," Renesmee says, her brain trying to get round it. "So why is Daddy wearing black?"
