So lemme tell you 'bout a girl I know,
She's got hair like fire, and skin like snow.
She hides behind fishnets and black,
Putting on foot forward, she don't look back.
She's red-headed for trouble and I gotta admit,
with that devilish grin, I like her a bit.
With her sharp tongue, and mighty pen
She could break down even the strongest men.
And though her lives been full of pain,
A fairy-tale ending she still entertains.
She's optimistic, yet cynical.
Red-headed for trouble and beautiful.
So if she ever hears this song,
I hope she knows I never meant to do her wrong.
It was always her, but I couldn't see,
the red-headed goddess in front of me.
Know that If I could turn back time,
The wedding gig would've made her mine.
I'd awaken each day, with her at my side,
we'd grow old together, I'd make her my bride.
I hope she never looses her spice,
I hope that life treats her nice.
I hope we meet again, so I can see
My red-headed for trouble, was red-headed for me.
Wow. I actually wrote this. I even have a tune for it and everything. It's going to be stuck in my head for a while. I'd really like to know everyone's thoughts on this. Should I base a story around it? Sorry if it was awful. I'm not to good at poetry; ^^. XOXO, Catrien.
